The bees took a place in the wall between this old house and a storage room seemed like been added later to the back side. When the tenants noticed the bees about two months ago.. they called somebody to help.. so you can see the mark of the comb on the studs where the wall had been removed.. while the major part of the colony was hidden deep behind! The bees however continued their life buildi...

The bees took a place in the ceiling of this 3rd. floor apartment through the air vent.. but I found it more convenient to reach them from the floor of the above unit. With the help of Brian, the maintenance man, who cut the concrete and then the plywood, I was able to reach the colony.. and remove the comb, bees, with the queen to a new safe location. Enjoy it :)

About two years ago I removed a big hive from the same spot in this house on Beach drive: 964922963551253/videos/1678952422483987 but later on another colony found a crack there.. and it very quick established a new hive.. starting from the soffit all the way back to the ceiling inside!

A cut-out removal yesterday from the same spot I removed a bee colony from about two years ago! I passed by Her Majesty more then one time while working.. but the Carniolan breed queen with her dark body fooled me again and again.. until she was caught in the bee-vacum.. and found immediately when I released the bees at my yard. Enjoy it 🙂

Amazing how this rotten pine tree fell down during the storm last week just inches away from five beehives I had in that place on Holmes Creek/ Vernon, and hit only two of them, that even one of them made it and survived!

Perhaps invaded by robber bees so they left. To late to swarm. Surprised there was a queen there. Looked like all the honey was robbed , any hive bettles? Hope you got paid for your trouble.

We had a Queen bee sipping the sugar water in our hummingbird feeders and she was massive, probably about an inch long. I knew not to mess with her!!!

Your queen has a very unique piping sound. It's definately the same sound but it's a single note and a single pitch. Other queens will make multiple pipes and they vary in tone, very interesting.
