Chez Poulet Homestead
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 2 ต.ค. 2012
This is our small family's homestead. We have a 30x16 garden. And a huge chicken coop with heritage laying hens. This is our first time and Justin Rhodes inspired me to start my own channel.

Dang, the sunflowers are beautiful. Do they all have two heads? I have never worked with the Red Sunflower before, so I would not know. Very interesting. 2:03 huge! The squash are those pumpkins ? Potatoes are beautiful. Tomatos, wow. Man, I fight bight so bad I have to continue to pick foliage daily. Keeps our plants looking g skinny and weak. 4:42 allowing it to sit for a while is the key here. Your garden is just so beautiful. Water park? Oh man, exciting
Yes my sunflowers have multiple heads.
@chezpoulethomestead648 never seen any like that before. I am unfamiliar. Interesting

@RoosterHoller just processed 7 yesterday to start. Wanted to see how heavy they are. 5.5lbs average. I've grew them twice as big. I can't wait that long with this many birds to expensive
@chezpoulethomestead648 man, I am hearing ya on the cost. A flock your size is expensive to maintain. Your place looks nice and clean. Well maintained, so I know you have a bunch of time wrapped up in it. I have worn those shoes before. Hope your day is well, peace to ya
Nice life for those lucky chickens.
@@barbaragalbreth4429 they are fat lol
The su flowers, what kind are they? The garden is beautiful!
@RoosterHoller the sunflowers came from the boys at school. They brought home plants and didn't know what they were. So I kept them alive and they became sunflower lol
@@chezpoulethomestead648 they are a different breed than I have. I wonder if they are Red Sunflowers. Thanks for taking the time
1 like very nice video so beautifully
Are there thst many snails aground?
@RoosterHoller yes there everywhere I'll take a new video today
@@chezpoulethomestead648 I'm gonna watch it.
Stopped by to say hey , what did ya throw the birds to eat?
Your bird setup there really looks good! Lol. Blew out the bug zapper. Ducks are a trip, talking about stinking. Die? Oh, man. Sniff sniff. I have a very decent process mastered on these type plants. 4:28 I have some of these but I didn't know what it was. Garden is beautiful. The tomato plants look good from here. Mucho I enjoyed seeing the update.

У вас хорошие видео
I tried the corn we feed chicken. I am a figering it was all the same corn 60 years ago. Departmental everything to maximize. Ha, 13$ bucks a bag of whole chicken corn, we could feed the hungry. I wished i could mow my grass. Ugh
HA, this is how Ms. White started her life. YEP, OLL BADDASS herself 😮
Hey Donald, Daisy, Daphanie, Hewy, Dewy Lewy. Let's move. It!
Lol
They really do.
....but you didn't throw them in, :(
didnt throwed them in on camera, smh, :dissapointed:
@verzachee I did before I took the video lol should have used my tripod. Some jumped right out.
damn these ducks are loven that water!
They really do
Yes the potatoes are nice and green. Hopefully I get a good yield.
The flock looks good today. I can tell the birds' relationship with you is new. I can hear and see it in their actions.
Ya got 15 new hens
Those potatoes are beautiful!
I see. Those bugs here as well. But you kinda have them bad. I never got to plant my carrots this year. I always grow them. Every year is different.
question how come you do not make them some nice nest boxes? and how do you keep that floor clean from mites and disease? I change mine out it has bermuda grass lightly on floor. love the blue egg layers
@Spiritdove64 I have made them nice box's they don't use them. Also they lay in the rafters regardless. Nesting boxes won't make them lay in one spot. A hen lays eggs wherever she wants daily
I have 4 Rhode Island Reds and 2 feather legged cochins and one cochin rooster. They are all have such great personalities. I no longer can eat chicken .
😢😭
I know sorry buddy I just found her. She was alive in the video I think. . She was moving slow and her wings were down
Wow, way nice. That pond looks inviting, I might get in with them if thst is okay.
Lol ya took me like 30mins to build. Through a drake on and he stayed lol
@@chezpoulethomestead648 nice job on it
I habe seen these take over a place. They reproduce fast. Enjoy your day😊
Lol just couldnt let them go. 😢
Kept all my new commercials I just bought this year.
We had a duck one time, we named her Ms White. She taught me more about being a man than any other thing in life. At first, she had only one leg good, while she dragged the other one around. In time, the boys broke her other leg, trying to breed her. One winter, it was a foot or so snow and everything was frozen out. She would take her beak and drag herself around in those kind of conditions to get life done. When i watch her determination not to give up. In my heart I was smote as I looked inside myself to see if I was half the man she was. Ms. White got a new name that day. I called her badass from that point forward. She taught me how to show strength when I had none to give. The bird house looks great up that way!
Ya im renovating inside to make a bit more room. For the hens I have. Still have around 30 hens
good man...
Okay, get me a beer, the whole gange is leaving. SNIFF, SNIFF 😢
True reason is bc this hobby is time consuming. And for someone with tiny kids who need my attention. I've decided it's in best interest to decrease to a lower number. My family 100% comes first. Been blind sided by chickens and how fun this hobby is. . Stay true friend 🧡
@chezpoulethomestead648 You have a huge job.on your hands with them, I do have this experience myself. Got the T shirt. I raise 2 boys by myself from birth. With this in mind. A friend would tell ya. Focus on the family and the hell with everything else! All love your way bro..peace!
@RoosterHoller much appreciated. 100% my family is first
ready soon
Nope not for 6 weeks yet
Birds are only 4 weeks old. I usually keep them till 11 weeks
Que hermosas gallinas 🐔🐓
Interesting Machines , they morphed into somethi g differnet. Like a tabpole.
Technical guy i see. I habe tried somw differnt hacks. None sucessful. Nice job sir. Thankyou
Lol. I had one loke this. Hey, this guy and me are just alike. Is he mean?
Damn, this one is beautiful
This is correct. When the bird gathers too many eggs, they do loose tract of which ond they are keeping. And the birds just keep gathering them if they are not stopped. Good video
Ive only had one silky in my life, she was so lazy. Have you noticed anythjng about the silky's that are different from the other type birds?
Not really good layers. Once they get to be adults they like to go broody. Which causes them to not lay eggs for the time shes broody. Honestly I don't like them for layers.
I'll never own more let's just say that.
Your chicken house is bad to the bon!
I sold 19 birds. Need to decrease my adults a bit.
Seems all the chichs wanna go broody on us.
Lol.
Sold frizzle yesterday along with 3 others. And today I'm selling possibly 15 more.
This was a kool video.
I missed this one. Interesting. Technical background?
Yes sir. I love building and inventing things. Stems from my grandfather
Goodmorning. Hey, cute little flock Water, babies are hot? Gonna be 110°f today. Water!
