I really wish the game would get remade with a BUNCH of new mechanics and more thorough story. So much potential with this whole series, it's insane it's slept on so much.

And I'm the type who reads video descriptions xD I'm glad you enjoyed the series! I agree, the dub sucks in many ways, and the animation can be kinda wacky, but this series will always be dear to my heart and perfect in my eyes (I still acknowledge its flaws, I just don't really care, idk if that makes sense). And I've always respected that they used actual children to dub the kids. This show has really shaped who I am today, obsessed with learning every bit of North and South American history 💀

Based on my previous research (Wikipedia-based), some of the information seems inaccurate. (For example, the depiction of Capacocha, the myth of Hiva among the Polynesians, and the origins of Machu Picchu.) I wonder if it was due to limited sources of the 80s, or if they were just tryna make it suit the show better

Thank you SO MUCH for this!! As a child, I never watched any of the mini documentaries past the first one because that sacrifice re-enactment freaked me right out lol. But recently I thought I'd better give it a try, just in case I was making a fool of myself by always informing my fellow fans about my cool research finds. I own the series on Amazon, but I can't use my TV very often anymore, so I couldn't watch the docs there. And I could only find the episodes on TH-cam up to 29. Now my journey is complete, and thanks again!

happy 30th anniversary darkstalkers!!! :3 alongside street fighter 2:the animated movie(especially with how much capcom acknowledges it to including the singer of the final battle's theme in 6.) would love a sequel to the ova's/more anime of other capcom series in this style as these were so great(both tied as my favorite video game adaptations period.) & a lot of the ova's story could lead into a foundation for a vampire savior ova.

After nearly two years, someone at TH-cam finally realized that Blue Efficience and Newen had had this video taken down under false pretenses and rescinded the strike I had been given long after said strike was no longer relevant. Since the video had never been deleted (mostly due to the fact that I could find nowhere else I could safely and reasonably upload it), it is viewable again. I'm glad that people can watch this again, but this sort of negligence should never have been allowed in the first place.

I have so many nostalgic memories tied to this anime and these opening songs. It's a shame the new Orphen remake was seasonal crap.

Classic Orphen/Revenge openings are masterpieces both song and animationwise. Orphen remake openings go from bland and boring to utter sh*t.

They need to make a video game on modern game consoles for the Orphen remake series. Just like how the 90's Orphen got a game back on the PS2 days with Orphen Scion of Sorcery. I can picture that game being updated with modern graphics. And modern gameplay style. I been a fan of Orphen since childhood. And I'd be down for a remake of the game. It was such a hard game to beat, but still fun.

1998-2002 orphen has way more swagger than the mess they call anime today in the late 21st century.

i hated this ovas because the gave donovan the main role.,.,when morrigan-demitri are the ones who killed pyron.....

They managed to beautifully animate each and every character's moves, as well as stay faithful to them designs of each and every move.

Brace yourself for the emotional gut punches. Hope the setup you're playing this has been set up probably for the rhythm combos to work.

Orphen is one of the best Animes of all time. I remember watching Orphen as a child, reading the Manga and playing the Scion of Sorcery game. This brings me back me back to my childhood. I am glad that Orphen got a reboot/remake. It's one of the best series everyone needs to try.

Great work ! this compilation of mini documentaries gives me the chills. At this time kids were no thought to be idiots. Compare the MSOG with the cartoons of today, I'm glad I had this to watch when I was a kid. I'm French and I didn't know that people outside France or Japan had this work of art broadcasted at the time. Great nostalgia :)
