Jackrabbit: Making money through automated trading.
Welcome
Jackrabbit was created and developed by Robert Darin, and is an automated trading paradigm that consists of a toolchest of automated trading algorithms (indicators on TradingView) comprised of many modules that can be put together to create a very powerful trading paradigm or recipes and a free open source framework (Jackrabbit Relay) that can place trade on 100+ exchanges/brokers from TradingView or any webhook/REST based system.
My goal for this channel is to teach proper trading through the use of Jackrabbit by demonstrating a proper approach to risk mitigation and budget management. My primary focus for this channel is automated algorithmic trading (algo trading) and will be diving deep into every single aspect of this topic.

Thank you for your advice 🙏🙏🙏
Hello! Please tell me how can I contact you? There is a business proposal.
I agree and i only learned this lesson after 7 years of unprofitable trading, the switch to negative R:R fixed that problem. But currently the achilles heel to this style of trading are trades that instantly reverse on entry and hit SL, thats my current struggle hindering my consistency and ive been scouring research papers looking for the solution to that but so far nothing came up.
Finding the level by which the negative risk to reward should be is difficult and really only through forward testing can you determine what works best for the instrument you are trading. What I found that works is to measure volatility over the last 30 days and examine the market in terms of what the worst case and best case is that would be divided over that 30 day period. For example coming with Euro USD, in studying the roughly 20 years of history, I found it my worst case situation on a single month would be roughly 500 pips of movement, so by using that is my basis point, I'm able to develop a stop loss technique that will help me mitigate to stop losses but still provide a reasonable level when they do get hit. It should be noted that nothing is going to stop a stop loss and having a negative reward to risk racial at this level can be quite difficult so using more than one risk mitigation technique or even looking at the market with an early out opportunity using ATR or some other technique is extremely beneficial.
Thanks
This is how insurance companies make fortune , they would take your $90 a month premium against a possible $30 000 risk on your car and guest what ? They are never out of business because They know only few drivers are gonna come for a claim , they accept a very small amount of money and it would all the time on the long haul
Hi Robert, how can we find the centre gray line ?is it average of price? in a trending market going higher highs for years how can we set the gray line. thanks for your videos I have just subsribed

Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
You should never give out your seed phrase, and you need to contact the wallet vendor for their specific methodology. Every product has their own way with interacting with Binance.
100% agree. Small consistent wins will take you much farther than inconsistent big wins 📈
How does this strategy hold up over a longer period from say 2015-2024
That's actually a good question. I've done previous examples, but not specifically over a longer range, I'm going to have to see if I can run a sample analysis and back test it to be able to answer this question. Thank you.
I can finally give you an answer to that question. The results were actually quite surprising and some of which I really didn't expect to see. th-cam.com/video/K807gtHNKo0/w-d-xo.html
At any point did you switch the direction you're trading.? I am looking into a market regime filter to identify the direction (either long or short) and use this reduction technique on the trades stuck on opposite side of the active regime.
I didn't. I maintained my short trade direction and still do trade in the short direction. This is really where the micro losses show their best advantage because by taking small losses along the way, you can weather the market going against your position significantly more as you are consuming the oldest positions through the micro losses with every single profit. The main takeaway here is that no matter which direction you trade, you should take a micro loss on every single position irregardless whether it is in your favor or not, in terms the prevailing trend. The intention behind the process of taking macro losses is that rather than waiting for one big hard loss to come and hit you, by taking off a little bits of your oldest position over time your profits will eventually eat away the older positions such that as the market moves, you have actually have less risk involved. If you try to determine when you don't take a micro loss for example my only taking them when the trend isn't against you, you run the risk of ending up a situation where a hard move will affect you in the negative way.

Don’t trade with 100% of your capital on each trade.
isn´t using a static risk reward ratio always like saying i have no clue when to take profits or stop losses because i don´t really know what im doing? . i never understood why people do this because i have tryed it 3 or 4 for times years ago when i was a beginner and by luck these trades (demo) where all profitable but the profits were take and the chart was still climbing and seeing potential profit thats not made is a worse feeling than making a loss for me.
When you are manually trading, this is very true and that having flexible take profit and stop loss can be beneficial. However, when you are automated trading and having a machine trade on your behalf, having clear and concise rules always guarantees you know when you're bot is working properly versus when something goes wrong. A fixed take profit and stop loss for automated trading gives you a clear and defined rule set that always works based upon how you program the bot to begin with. There's no guesswork should something happen like an internet connection failure or some type of disturbance within a program. Does clear rules make it easy to let you know when the program is working and when you need to actually take control of the situation in order to maintain a profit or prevent a loss. It is important to remember that no matter how advanced a program is, it will never have match the capabilities of the human mind and subsequently having these clear and absolute definitions makes it easier to maintain control of the entire process and mitigate your risks, especially if you are using a process that might have 100 or 200 open and active positions simultaneously. It's a matter of perspective in relations to how you actually trade and how your risk assessment and risk mitigation process goes in relation to your style. The worst thing that I have seen done in my own trading is trying to apply a manual technique to an automated process, whereby people think of the machine is going to behave on the basis of what the human mind can see. Even the most advanced strategists and AI-based systems can still never match the clarity and understanding that the human mind can process within a matter of seconds of looking at a chart. With automated trading, one of the most important things to really focus on is never chase profits and always have a clear plan that avoids fear or creating a situation that you're missing out. Let the absolute process of a flat take profit and stop loss take place and move on to the next trade, no matter what is left on a table or what that loss is, the absolutes are a guarantee of a rigid mechanical process that always play out in a long run for the machine in a way that can handle any market situation as long as you've done a careful case study of your instrument.
@@rapmd thanks for the long anwear. Funny that you talk about bots to me ^^because i´have written probably the best trading bot ever for bitcoin which made me 182x1% and turned my 1130usdt in 6082usdt in the last 3 month ( not even one day where i lost money at the end of the trading session). my bot has no take profit and stop losses. i have logged every trade with a screen shot and have screenshots for every day of my account balance. sadly i just can let the bot run only 8h a day because reason i can´t explain but if this restriction wasn´t there i would make much more % in a day. statisticly i make 1% in 3,22h
every trade I take has a different r:r sometimes i risk 1 to make 5, sometimes risk 4 to make 1, sometimes risk 3 to make 2. a fixed r:r is stubborness and keeps you trapped

Thank you very much for the kind words. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Sorry which order book platform is this 🙏
The program itself is an open source program called the frequency weighted order book analyzer. And it is analyzing Bitcoin. This is a GitHub project and the source code can be found here, github.com/rapmd73/fwoba/ It functions on top of Jackrabbit Relay. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Hello Robert hope you are doing great. Thank you for all you do for the trading community. I was wondering if your floating grid EA is still running and working well for you!
Yes. I still have the floating grid system working. It is running exactly as expected with the multitude of different experiments that I have been performing testing different settings and seeing how it works. The live money one has also been doing exceptionally well. This link will take you to the results area of my support server where you can see the various tests I'm running and actually see the live account (real money, CherryBlossom) as well. discord.com/invite/ynTS6SAD The one thing that must be emphasized with the floating grid technique is that it is designed to be strictly a passive technique. The settings need to be tested carefully based upon your balance which is why I run 20+ different demo accounts testing different assets and the settings. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
It’s amazing how you articulate all these concepts. Legend.
Brilliant
very interesting sir
Hi I've getting a lot out of this. But got a bit stuck on this one because, there doesn't actually seem to be a an objective measure of volume here. The percentages multiplied by the length of the list is arbitrary, that's not objective volume is it? So using this your script would confuse periods of high volume with low volumes wouldn't it? Or doesn't that matter?
My apologies are not making that clear enough. Low volume really isn't that much of a concern simply because it's easy to spot. High volume is a bit more of a concern and depending upon what you are looking for can be a bit more difficult to determine. I have found that this can vary on a basis of the order book simply because there are some values such as zero and 1 million that really aren't all that practical or applicable. You can look at the order book at a much wider range and through observing it over time, gauge a number that will work well for you on the basis of your trading approach. I have found that tracking volume often does not really matter the same way from the order book as it would from the candlestick chart and that it is more important to limit to the range of our trading say within 30 to 50 of the bid / ask prices. Again the best approach is to play with it and get different numbers and then see how those numbers actually look on the chart by drawing some horizontal lines on where volume is. You could see with the chart what numbers work well or make sense versus those that start to imply irrational perceptions. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
@@rapmd Thanks...So you are saying that you have found that using the length of the list as a proxy for volume has served you well enough, support levels will still show up using this method...? Still it would be good if Oanda gave a bit more data on actual volumes and maybe even actual completed sales with volumes from the market.
@@andrewmartin9182 I don't know really that oanda can provide much more data other than what it does. What I have done is use frequency weighting and started killing the price action at intervals of 172,000 data points. Examples of this are in my short videos where I demonstrate the various components of the frequency weighting and volume. This helps to eliminate some of the guesswork and randomness as it provides a mechanism I wish to market itself tells you where the range of meaningful values really is. I have an open source project on GitHub that goes over a lot of this material and demonstrated where it actually tracks volume of the order book and how it correlates to the frequency weighting. It is a continuation of the code that you're looking at and what eventually ended up in Jackrabbit Relay. Please note that the code does use Jackrabbit Relay as a mechanism to manage the API. github.com/rapmd73/fwoba/
@@rapmd That makes sense....I have a question, given that you were using the oandapyv20. It's working fine for my practice account, but for live it won't authenticate me. I've triple checked my key and account details, my key is fine, I use it all the time. Is there anything that you might suspect that could be happening here? I don't know who to ask!
@@andrewmartin9182 This is a known issue with OANDA in that if you create or authenticate an account after the key, you have to revoke the key and then regenerate it. You have to do this every time you make a new sub account as well. I have been back and forth with oanda's API support over this and they can't explain why it happens. Revoking and regenerating though always seems to fix the issue for me. Please let me know if that helps you as well.

How much do you make after taxes?
At the moment, since most of my time is spent in research, using small amounts of money, it hasn't yet affected my tax bracket. Once I do move to larger positions, that will affect my tax bracket, then 40% of my proceeds will be taxes.
@@rapmd Sounds like the smart approach 🙂

Been following your channel recently. Great content. Can you expand on what the step-lines on your chart indicate..?
The thick green line is 1% take profit of the average, the thick blue line. The thick red line is the deviation point by which another purchase will be made. For this video, I am using a 1% take profit and a 1.5% deviation. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
Hi, may i know what kind of graph or indicator in the center red/green and how it is use in trading?
This is the order book overlay provided by OANDA itself within the app. You can access the overlays in the lower right hand corner with a little square like symbol and it will bring up a wide range of different things you can have overlay your chart. The order book overlay measures the buying and selling pressure of the order book itself by the length or depth of the lines at the various price points on the chart. It is one way where you can find support and resistance levels within the order book correlated to actual trades on the chart itself.
I’m using 2 ema’s (10,100)to differentiate trends and accumulate with different indicators when everything is bullish, and try to buy the dip after a bearish diversion with select signals. My favorite is the stochasticRSI crossover , because it reacts earlier than a macd or others
This sounds interesting. I'm going to have to sit up a simulation and see how well it runs. Thank you.
@@rapmd it’s just an idea i had and I am still working on it . I made a list of many different indicator and candle pattern combinations and plotted all of them out on the chart to see which of them perform best in which situation. Then I have made trend presets of these combinations and call them whenever the trend changes. It gives me a lot of information on how strong a breakout is when you learn to read the information . What I also want to do is add user inputs for different assets ( stocks behave different that crypto) , aggressiveness, and trailing profit trigger and percentage. I like your thoughts on accumulation and this is how I wanted to use it on my stock portfolio with stock that I wanted to keep anyway since this is a very safe strategy. So I could trade them if it made sense , but at least buy each dip on the lowest price. But now I’m confident that once this is finished it can be used for so much more.
Must say I'm really impressed!
Thank you.

Hi, love your work. One question though, do we have frequency weighted order block viewer in Trading view?
Thank you. Unfortunately, no. TradingView does not allow access to an individual exchange's or broker's order book.
amazing explanation 🔥
Thank you 🙌
Hello, I would like to know where can I get the order book like yours please?
The one on the screen is built into Oanda itself and you can access it through a little square icon on a lower right hand side of the OANDA mobile app. The numerical analysis such as support and resistance and volume, however, come from an open source program discussed in this video, th-cam.com/video/oWlPJTNZv3k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6KKRO8ygnLi6Le46
Hello could I know the setup?
I am using my Oanda gridbot with 73 levels to my grid. I have calculated out every single position based upon my NAV and the leverage that is required, making absolutely sure I stay below the liquidation level of the account. You can find out more information about my grid trading technique here, th-cam.com/video/eVdElCta7uM/w-d-xo.html
Awesome work, Team *ParticleCracker* ! It's so satisfying to see you putting in the effort to stop those shady characters. Protecting the public, especially the elderly, from those despicable con artists is crucial. You truly deserve recognition and appreciation for keeping us secure. I'm thrilled for you because you're my sibling. Your accomplishments definitely make you a strong contender for the Nobel Peace Prize. Keep up the outstanding performance!!!!!!!!…..!!
I use a grid trading technique that has analyzed the market to determine that it has moved a total of 2171 pips in its 21-year history. Using that information, I divided the total market movement by how many levels I wanted and that told me how much space I had to have between each boundary. Since this 2171 pip movement only occurred once in the entire history of the market, I have a reasonable assurance of being able to provide for stable trading on a regular basis though stop loss is deployed as necessary to make sure that when the market moves I'm able to follow it responsibly.
Thanks very interesting and unique content, this is the only channel I know of that talks about the order book, Just like this was the only channel that provided sample code for buying and selling on Oanda api.
Thank you very much. If you have any suggestions or videos or content you'd like to see, please feel free to let me know.
Trading Forex instead of Crypto have its advantages?
Yes. There are some very distinct advantages to trading forex. I can't say they are necessarily advantages that are better than cryptocurrency markets as that really depends upon your jurisdiction. One of the biggest advantages that the forex market has is that you have access to a demo account that will let you test your strategy before you actually use real money. Diversification is always a consideration and planning for the worst case scenario is extremely important no matter what market you trade in.
Is "reduction" another term or type of broker fee in the Forex market? Is the Forex market the best or only market to use with this grid trading system? Does the IRS require an accurate "summary statement" on this type of trading and if yes, is that easy to generate? Can this be achieved without a constant internet connection and instead on a mobile phone?
Reduction has nothing to do with the broker's fees. With OANDA, you actually do not pay any fees at all. The point and purpose of reduction is to eat away at the bottom of the grid and it's benefits are that when you are in a stable ranged market, you will make up the profits for the one unit that you either way from the bottom. The goal is to absorb and raise the bottom as the market trends sideways such that when the market does go against you aggressively (15% of the time), you are able to absorb those losses easier by capitalizing on 85% of the time that the market moves in your favor. With respect to the IRS, depending upon what your accountant tells you, you may need to file an 8859 which goes through the entire process of what you've traded. It is very possible that you may have to simply download your transaction history from Oanda and give it to your accountant and then he will attach it to the 8859. You can use any market, but it needs to be cyclical in nature especially if you are shorting. I personally don't recommend trying to short the cryptocurrency markets or a stock markets for a long duration just because of the additional fees that you pay for margin and a high potential of liquidation. You have to have a constant communications between the grid bot and the brokerage, which really should be done with a VPS that is cloud-based so you have as minimum of interruptions as possible. The program must be running at all times to monitor the activities aggressively and take action should something need to be done, whether it's buying, selling, or panicking in a reduction state to get you below your clothes out level. No matter what, that program has to always have access to the market.
Hello Robert, I have checked some of your other videos related to this bot and I assume that you have created it yourself, my question is - do you offer this bot to other people or you are only experimenting? It looks really promising, thank you for your time!
The butt is available to sponsors of Jackrabbit Relay. This is version 2 which has been completely rebuilt from version 1. Note that this box does rely on Jackrabbit Relay to handle communications with the broker. github.com/rapmd73/JackrabbitRelay/wiki By sponsoring this repository, you get an invite to a supplemental repository or all of my code is updated constantly, including the bot that is now in testing. It's up to over 2600 trades now so new video will be coming soon.
