i think the key importance is what company they're under. the contracts, the limitation and boundaries they're subjected to. many of the theme of a band is pre-determined by the direction of the director of that company, lyrics and sound too. even if an artist is creating solo out of their group. they may be tied to their company policies. you want fresh? new? try putting yourself in their shoes. they may be brimming with ideas, but they can't freely execute as they need to adhere to their policies and courtesy as well as respect to their culture to some extend. also, unlike western music, where you could give zero fucks how you wish to portray and create. often times, korean culture is tied to being conservative, demure if you would; in terms of asian societal expectations. and it isn't about their group or branding like how they wear or the image they create to appeal to fans. know that international fans is one thing, but they have to first appease locals first, and local can severely impact their chances and future at any given time. don't you realise how they had to balance their internal welfare within their group/company and create something that can appease both company/local and international fans so much so to the extend that they get hurt both physically and mentally - working to the bone, training and perfecting. that's why indie solo male artist have wider range to be more experimental and expressive. i can't speak about female groups but i would assume they would also have an unspoken limitation how much they are able to expand this "fresh" concept/ideas too. granted korea is experiencing change with expression and voice, but it is going at an incredibly slow rate. despite how quick and competitive trends are evolving.

I can't comment on boy groups as a whole, except that only a few other than BTS have captured my attention enough to follow them. TXT has been one of the few that I do follow, liking a lot of their music. Yeon Jun's Ggeum, however, seems to me both over-hyped and empty, and I have not been tempted by the hype to actually watch or listen to the whole song.

I think the house direction was a great direction for them. It feels unique enough in this current landscape, its trendy, and personally i'm a fan of house so i'm happy. But for me the title track was lacking something. It was like 80% there and there are some iconic parts and lines but I think it needed a an energizing dance breakdown or a bridge or something extra to kick it up a notch. But most importantly the girls seem happy and confident! So im happy

Thing is blk women never get apologized to it’s always them apologizing by force or out of fear. Manon shouldn’t of apologized to the girls because it’s competition and their not the ones she has to answer to. Someone missing practice do to soreness, mental health and Covid is not a thing to apologize for but bad behavior is which the girls displayed. So to me it’s not cool that manon had to ask for a meeting with the girls then told hush in sid meeting when making a point twice and then having to apologize to them for their bad behavior that’s crazy. The documentary was so messy. I understand why people were annoyed with Manon. It was pretty obvious she was a producer favorite when they kept letting her get away with breaking rules and missing practices. That being said I dont think anyone should get hate. They've moved on and their fans need to as well. I think the doc was edited in a way that made a lot of the girls look bad which is just so weird when they just debuted.
