PJ Hoffmaster State Park & Campground in Michigan
Our 2 night stay at Hoffmaster State Park in Michigan in August 2019. We were in site 233 with 50 amp in our 35’ Imagine Grand Design travel trailer. We really enjoyed our stay but next time we would like to stay longer.

Our day trip to Dry Tortugas Fort Jefferson was such a cool experience and unique National Park. The fort sits on a small island about 70 miles from Key West. You can explore the fort, snorkel some of the best reefs or just hang out of the beautiful white sand beach. If you are in Key West I recommend taking this trip over to Fort Jefferson.

While staying in Oberammergau we took a drive over to Linderhof Castle in Ettal. Linderhof Palace is the smallest of 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one he lived long enough to see completed. Even though it was a rainy day and they were in the middle of major restoration work it was still beautiful and worth the trip.

I see you have dogs. Was there a dog beach area? How far was the lake michigan access from your part of the campground?
Unfortunately the dogs aren’t allowed on the beach. They can walk the trail to the beach but are not allowed in the water or on the beach.

I'm watching in south Korea. It feels like I'm here. I'll visit here when I travel to Germany. Houses and paintings are beautiful and exotic. I'm more interested because it's an architectural style that doesn't exist in Asia. this video is so impressive. I hope the epidemic is over soon and nobody gets hurt until the end. I take it you rented your own car? What company?
Yes we did. It made it so much easier to explore places we wanted to see. We rented it at the Frankfurt fromNational Car Rental. We had no issues and would use them again.

Yes, they are still working on it. But it was still beautiful. The other 2 castles we visited were about 2 hours from Linderhof Palace.
