La Première Exposition Impressionniste 1874 avec Géraldine Lefebvre
En 1874, une exposition hétérogène réunit 165 œuvres de 31 artistes aux parcours très différents - des jeunes artistes en recherche de formules nouvelles tels qu’Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro ou Pierre-Auguste Renoir y côtoient d'autres artistes plus installés comme Félix Bracquemont, Eugène Boudin, Stanislas Lépine, Adolphe-Félix Cals ou Edouard Brandon pour n’en citer que quelques-uns. ⁠

Géraldine Lefebvre présente les circonstances ayant menées ces artistes - parmi lesquels sept sont aujourd’hui universellement renommés - à se réunir pour exposer ensemble leurs œuvres. Quels ont été leurs soutiens dans cette aventure, artistes, collectionneurs et marchands tels que le Docteur Gachet, Durand-Ruel ou encore Édouard Manet. ⁠

    Why this video does not have more views? Such an interesting document for a better understanding of the Pop Art movement through the eye from Roberta Bernstein, who live those days like no one else. Thanks for this video.
