Here's a little clip of Orme Mountain Road in Marion County Tennessee. This is a tricky little road and rain will shift it around. It's a necessary little short cut to get to Russell Cave National Monument in North Alabama. Head West from here to some great mountainous riding. Thanks for Viewing and kindly like and subscribe

Here's a little clip of the southern section of HWY 156, South Pittsburgh Mountain Road. This is a great ride and meanders down the mountain dropping you right into South Pittsburgh. There are several great routes in Southern Tennessee and North Alabama. Its easy to extend rides into the Northwestern corner of Georgia and loop all three states in one route. I had the chance to run the dragon with my new BMW GS Adventure and it proved to be a fun ride. You have to run the inside edge and be ready for oncoming traffic to break the lane and venture onto your side. I make it a point to keep some distance so I have time to react if something goes amiss. This was an early October trip and the weather was incredible. I love my new GS and look forward to ...

Ice Storm Carnage Cleanup. Where to begin? There wasn't a single tree on my place undamaged.

The ice storm of February 21 2021 created a lot of damage and left people without power and water for many days. It was awful. This video was where I started cleaning up my place. Using my Stihl MS391 to fell a large elm tree that was about to fall on the farm house.
มุมมอง 62ปีที่แล้ว
This tree was precariously positioned above the farmhouse and all it would have taken was another ice storm or strong wind and it would have fallen right on the house. You can see we used a couple strong ropes and a com-along to persuade it to fall where I wanted. Better safe than sorry! It was a perfect drop. The 17 year old Stihl 391 did the trick! Following the terrible ice storm of February 2021 there was a large amount of cleanup and fence row repair. The only real method of disposal was to gather it, acquire a burn permit following a rain and light it afire. This video shows one such fire. It burned all night and really lit up the hollow. Most bites from this spider occur when the spider is acidently trapped in clothing while a person is dressing or when a bite victim comes into accidental contact with the spider moving old boards or stored objects. They aren't aggressive and will nearly always retreat when approached. They are very fast. Wolf spiders will eat them so if you don't like brown recluse spiders don't kill wolf spiders!

    Can you describe the issue you were having with the auto-connect and what caused it to break? I've considered going to a regular drive shaft as well.

    • @hillrambler2007
      @hillrambler2007 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The auto connect bearing/spline assembly was binding and causing a banging noise. At first it only happened when the deck articulated over uneven surfaces. The assembly failed due to this stress, breaking the bearing housing. NOTE: the unit was adjusted properly. Once I installed the regular (non quick connect) driveshaft all the noise, vibration and binding went away and the deck performed as you would expect.
