Music works for me, I even bought soundtrack separately. Overall price feels right to me, since it's obviously very niche appeal, making it cheaper won't attract more people. Metro was added by Kemco, original was kickstarted and released on PC before console ports happened.

@ksenolog wow kickstarted, surprised people paid a premium but then a lot go for worse incomplete games and play the waiting game of will they/won't they patch it. At least this functions better than those cases. Any notable themes for the soundtrack? I know it won't be as ambitious as dungeon encounters' classical music that changes on some floors. Though being petrified to night on bald mountain is scarier than any resident evil game lol.

​@@MrVariantthere isn't much, you heard most of music on video. It's less than ten audio tracks. Really nothing special to listen separately, I just kinda like them. On other hand, other small game - One-Inch tactics - has stellar music, gameplay is yet to be uploaded on this channel, I'll get to it eventually.

@@ksenolog I think it is alright. Creating content is not easy, so you don’t need to update everyday, maybe once every 2 months.

I agree on team attacks. Modern ones never made sense for me. However while game has more spirit, and I agree, I still can't get myself interested in it enough on level of DIsgaea 1-5. Like sure, they returned game to being more normal mechanically, but influence of 6 is also still there, so I doubt it'll be as easy sailing as older games. I still dislike how it is to play with 3D models instead of sprites, just on personal level. Flow is screwed cause each attack animation is cutscene camera rotation. I do not trust AI bullshit after 6 either. Other part is story delivery. It can be very well written story and such, but as you can see from the demo - nothing ever happens on stage map. Something which was a staple of Disgaea 1-5. That makes story telling very dry, as well as lack of attachments to characters. So while it may result in solid game, I prolly will just go back to 100% earlier titles instead for my Disgaea fix. Cause this ain't it.

@@ksenolog I'm assuming the dropped the model usage for cutscenes since it ended up looking pretty bad in Disgaea 6. I've played them all extensively and this game is a huge improvement from the previous game. I'm gonna buy

@@agad1177 Yes, it looked bad, but that could be just since they didn't tried enough. Dunno honestly. Still, regardless of reasons - it's a downgrade. Quite major one if you like characters and stories. I mean I'll buy it as well, but not on release, will wait for like 50% off or something. I have enough SRPG to keep myself occupied and Tactics Ogre Reborn especially lit that light which what Disgaea was to me before.

@@ksenolog fair enough. Disgaea games usually go on sale quickly after release anyway so you likely won't have to wait long lol

@@agad1177 It depends really. Usually the better game is - the longer it's not on sale. But that's anecdotal fact. Either way sorry about audio quality, screwed up some settings and didn't notice.

HeroManXProductions - Well obviously, those are old games at this point, there isn't even a reason to remaster them cause if single progression in quality rising from 1 to 3. I was happy too when worldwide release got announced, even tried to persuade local game shops to get it in stock, but after playing beta? Sorry, I see only sorrow for those who unknowingly get the game and will meet that pile of utter trash of a gameplay.

as long they keep their english asia releases rolling, I honestly don't care what happens to western market. Seems like most Bamco bad decisions come from trying to appeal to the wordlwide audience as much as possible.

But what if NGB does well? If it does, then we might get more Gundam games. But if it doesn't, it might affect the English Asia releases as well. So why are you holding a terrible grudge against Bamco? The west is getting New Gundam Breaker, Tales of Vesperia: Definite Edition and Soul Calibur 6 (Though I rarely play fighting games). So why so bias against the west if you said you don't care about the western market?

HeroManXProductions - If it'll do well it'll also indicate that western market is alright with subpar product while their home market isn't. Which may lead to bamco just creating more subpar games for cheap and selling them for profit margin. Kinda high cost to pay for western release for me, I prefer solid games instead of vague benefits of success on western market. I don't see the point of caring about companies well being, they are producing product I want - I get it. If they produce bad product, I have all right to criticize them and spread factual information about product quality to alert other people. I have bought at least two copies of each their English Asia SRW release, just single copy on release of SD Gundam GGG, Breaker 3, FMP, numerous of other games. And right now when I dared to criticize commonly agreed upon bad game - I suddenly hold the grudge? Okay then.

Yep. Kinda blows cause I'd love to just customize some suits - new models and lighting are pretty nice. But no way in hell I'm suffering thru rest of this trash just to get the parts.

Pro doesn't seem worth it to me, not that many games support it, any news about games getting Pro support kinda died out. Most of that support is fake 4K resolution anyway, there is slight framerate boost but that's about it aside of selected titles. Depends on what you plan to play honestly, seems like Japan doesn't give a crap about Pro, most games which get some sort of enhancement is west titles. It's real dumb revision in my opinion. Majority of people will always have regular PS4, so Pro will stay niche - devs won't waste much time to cater for it.

I doubt you have anything to worry if you are into fighting games, after all they should all work the same performance wise, so I doubt there will be some Pro dickery going on. Yeah, I'd actually import JP version but considering soon west release, I decided to wait for that one for now. I'd double dip, but Versus is only thing I'll pay for PS+ so that's already pricey. Few months of wait is not that big of a deal Just make sure not to get the earliest 500Gb version of PS4 - CUH-10XX, CUH-11XX (it's really hard to come across it nowadays tho), it had sensor power and disc eject buttons, which has high failure rate. I had that one, but in the end replaced it with 1Tb version later with warranty. So you must look for CUH 12XX series.

No problem, glad I was some help. In my experience from JP Beta - Zeta became better than in Extreme Versus, even tho cost raised to 500 (old 3000), I found it way more capable than I find most other 3000. I'm not a great player tho, but as far I know people mostly under same idea regarding it.

It's a fighting game, it should be optimized and working the same on every version of PS4.
