Why do teams even throw this guy strikes? I would give him a steady diet of a variety of pitches inside all day. Aim for like 4-5 in off the plate. If he walks that's ok. Him standing at first is miles ahead of him jogging around the bases. I would also throw off speed stuff from time to time outside to keep him honest. Like aim 9-10 inches off the plate low

Pitch com came before pitch clock. This is old. There was no pitch clock then. Here is why it looks bad. The problem is the first base coach positioned himself well outside his box to the north to get a better view on the catcher. Believe what you want but I’ve watch a ton of baseball. Nobody shoots their eyes like that away from the pitcher who isn’t up to something. When confronted and called out by umps, the coach went back into his box and suprise. Judge never looked at him again. Yelich did the same thing with a fan in right field. When confronted the fan left and guess what? Yelich stopped looking in the stands also. No these aren’t legal. It’s considered gamesmanship for the runner on second to try and still signs. You aren’t supposed to be getting outside help. Also, NYY was disciplined in 2017 for a sign stealing practice that involved the replay room and use of the bullpen phone to send signals to batters. It’s not like any of these dudes are clean. I get you like the guy but this was outside the lines.
