Earlier Ceylon tea is the famous and main producer tea in the world.now China, Indian and kenya produce larger quantities than us. My father is a small tea stake holder. now i am also engaging with tea farming. first time my father also selected for this project. There are some good and bad feedback regarding the project. Unfortunately any responsible officer did not take feedback regarding the project. Tea ininspectors should come to field to share their experience and knowledge to the farmers.most of younger generation do not like to enter to the tea cultivation. We did not used the technology to tea farming. Unfortunately I never see the respective tea instructor for my village. they do not hv the system to actract the younger general to the tea farming. GPS machines can used only for measure the land. We are not thinking regarding the climate changes, quality tea plants, different tea varieties , minimizing the labor charges by using machines. Re planting system within minimum time period etc. I think one of responsible officer will read my comment and forwarded for your kind consideration please.
