Me and my wife rode both of these during Fright Fest when I saw the land survey marks on the ground. If you look at a satellite view of the park there’s this random picnic sight and old gas station in the parking lot. I told her they could build a coaster and expand it to the picnic area to free up space. Whatever it is, I’m excited. La Vibora was fun but being 34, definitely sore for a bit after 😂😂

The main things Kings Island needs are inversions and launches. The best choices would be either a Mack Extreme Spinner or a multi-launch such as a Mack Stryker or Intamin Blitz. I don’t think they will get a Wing, Dive, Tilt or anything else Cedar Point has gotten recently. I know a 300ft Dive was on the survey but we already have a great 300ft drop. Take that exclusive feature away from Orion and what unique element does it have to offer? I don’t think it would be a good idea to overshadow the last big coaster.

It will 100% be an intamin. They have a great relationship with intamin. They have build piraten, juvelen and dragekongen

The Edge could be relocated or rethemed, but I don't see why the Cobra has to go anywhere (it's a bit long in the tooth but still a rock solid mid range thrill coaster that can go on another 10-20 years).

WHATTTTT either this is a coincidence or just me being smart but i have kept messaging djurs sommerland on insta and they answer me after a few days everytime and i recommended coasters to them and the last i recommended was a intamin multi launch similar to velocicoaster and batman gotham escape Chall chats if u want screenshots i can send at some time

Got to ride both once during my only visit to this park in 2020. La Vibora hurt my hands & El Diablo was basically a larger superloop (which I’ve done at multiple parks including my local Six Flags park Valleyfair)

La Vibora was a painful ride. Glad it is going.

You aren’t missing much, la vibora has been unbelievably uncomfortable the past like 10 years, so much so that my mom bruised her tailbone on one of the midcourse break runs back in like 2015

Yeah I would love to see this, would have a good chance of being the best coaster in the country!

I live in Newquay and have been to Flambards maybe three times but I loved the Victorian Village and Britain in the Blitz. I hope nothing horrible happens to the mannequins, honestly if I lived nearer I would have probably been there much more. Please someone who buys it, update it, maybe add something new and make it shine. The thing that surprised me about the Britain in the Blitz part was the scent. It took you back.

why is six flags tearing out these two perfectly fine rides. They seem to hate larson loops lately

La Vibora was a coaster of my childhood, I was a kid of the 90's. La Vibora was a great coaster for kids to get into the coaster thrill. Though as a former employee at Ride Ops. at SFOT I understand why they need to get rid of it and revitalize Mexico Section. The coaster was down quite a bit when I worked there between 2005-2008. Honestly I am surprised it was not removed before, it was in question back then between the Ride Op employees. I am sure what ever replaces it will be a great addition to the park for thrill seekers and enthusiasts alike.

Wild Arctic closed long before the Covid shut downs. It was one of the original simulators and was clunky and made everyone sick. Yes, this sounds like the same story line with an updated ride system. And I am sure you will still dump out into the Beluga Whale habitat. I am looking forward to this upgrade. Right now, most people don't know that the Belugas and Walruses are still in the building. It will be nice to see this area come back to life again.

So I’m sure they’ll add some basic jungle theming around Flight of Fear but it feels like FoF will stick out in the land the way the aliens stuck out in American Horror Story: Asylum. Meanwhile we still have anaconda and backlot stunt track that need updating to the Jungle X theme. It would have been easier and what I’d prefer if they just cut off jungle X before FoF and retheme i305 to the government base theming similar to how KI tied Orion into FoF. What’s worse is this means over half of their coasters are all in a single themed area. Are we just gonna slap a different animal on every coaster now? It feels like the cheap thing to do now, but I’ll wait until I see the finished product before I pass final judgement. But I’m not a fan as of now.

Your facts aren't quite right. Especially names, dates of rides and when they came to the park, you're missing HUGE attractions, such as gus honneybun, bumper boats, wave slide, gypsy style carriages, garden centre, science style building, chariot race, explorium etc. And your dates rides came to the park are not right at all - covid was a huge impact, but also this park has been going downhill for significantly around 5 years - ticket prices also was a huge area of problem, and also price of the go karts not being part of the entrance fee, aswell as an accident which happened on a ride around 2 years ago. And the amount of areas which were torn down and aged, such as the golf area and multiple play areas.. ... I think its interesting that you've made this documentary and never been to the park, also the amount of attractions which the park bought from local abandoned parks - also the play area used to be stand alone for a very long time before.

Im in truro, half hour away from flambards, it was my local park. Been going there since i was a kid, now 38. Back in the day of the red dragon coaster, space mission, secret garden fountains, gypsy caravans, the flungos blues band,parrot show, exploratorium...all before the hornet coaster and other thrill rides. The Victorian village is a unique attraction that would if been perfect for Halloween walkthroughs or something....im just gutted, as are many locals. Cornwall has lost a major attraction, thank god i have memories, and managed to take my daughter a few times. Thank you flambards and all the staff for making memories over the years.

Its was called Aeropark when it first opened. Flambards has been in decline for a long time. They got rid of all the old planes outside and i hated them for that. Reap what you sow. Sorry for the staff.

Thanks for covering the closure of Flambards Aaron. Flambards is relatively local to me and I frequently visited as a Kid. I loved Flambards and created many happy memories there. I hope someone buys Flambards and reopens it next year following some investment.

such a shame flambards closed thunderbolt has had a complete refurbishment and is now called reactor and is travelling on the fairground circuit with its new owner evan moran it was recently at the fair at sheffield arena its now the second park that huss frisbee has been at thats closed down for good

Hey Chall, loved this video tribute to this iconic theme park 😀 However, when it opened in the 70's wasn't called Flambards. It was founded in 1976 as the Cornwall Aero Park by Douglas Kingsford Hale MBE. Thought you knew that though???? Changed its name in 1990 season to Flambards. Such a shame when Hale family sold it in 2013. Some of my fav rides/experience there were: The Victorian Villiage/The Blitz, The Hype Glide, SR2 Simulator, The Hornet, Log Flume, Space Race, Gus Honeybun’s underground burrow, and garden, etc One of my first memories was here when I was 34 years old when it was still called: Cornwall Aero Park-still have many merch still from here like cups, fridge magnets, park maps/souvenir guides, etc I have emailed Merlin to see if they can save this place!!!! Least the: The Victorian Villiage/The Blitz are sorting out about it being kept as it is iconic and also very educational. + also them keeping the play area!

The victorian village at Flambards reminds me of the York Castle Museum.

Its a shame, but i am not surprised from recent vlogs i watched it was obvious that the park was struggling, unfortunately i do not think it will be the last Oakwood looks to be struggling to and so does Pleasurewood Hills both parks have lacked investment and from vlogs we have seen closed rides, like you say it is difficult for theme parks to survive nowadays and the recent budget will not have helped also there are plenty of development companies that will offer good prices for the land which can be very tempting to owners if they have other attractions that are doing better that need the investment.

It is a real shame to see Flambards close - it reminded me of Paultons Park pre-Cobra with it's exhibits, family rides and attractions. 😢

Looks like something ART Engineering would make. The theming is beautiful and i think this is a great fit for the park

Great video. It’s clear that Paulton’s Park have a clear plan for its future plans with good and clear development for the future with good ride availability - some of the bigger parks could learn from them

Whatever replaces vortex needs to have up to 6 (or more) inversions along with a batwing finale as a tribute to the former ride. A new gen vekoma thrill coaster with either a lift or a launch would be perfect. I could also see them go for either a Gerstlauer infinity or a Mack stryker as well.

Back in April a few Cedar Fair parks got a survey sent out about potential rides. Cedar Points included a Tilt Coaster that we now know is Sirens Curse. KI had options of a 4500 ft Family coaster ( I don't think it would be this, as they just recently put in a smaller coaster for the Snoopy area), An indoor Dark Coaster (could be a possibility that could be built in that area), and my favorite, which could also def be a possibility is a giga dive coaster.

I predicted that an RES ride would go to a Nordic Park, but i was expecting a Rollerball or Disc Swing! really excited to hopefully ride in a year or two

When you first entered the pleasure beach in 1984 The monster was were ice blast is and behind it you had the rainbow ride and at the side the lovely nostalgic flying machines fab summer memories of Blackpool pleasure beach 1984 .
