I got the mustang clone. I had to shave a little on the bass side of the nineteenth fret. I had to adjust the bridge to get the action lower. And tork the truss rod a bit. Now it plays and sounds great. I had a Fender 66 mustang and this IYV sounds better. For the price it is a good deal if you know how to do fret leveling, but maybe you will get one spot on perfect. I will buy the hollow body next.

Hi..we just purchased dark finish Westcreek 12/6. My guitar tech is doing initial set up and thorough go through to mitigate any issues..a virgin instrument with versatility and lots of promise here..sounds good and with low cost..one can afford a few adjustments and decent tech work..and STILL come out ahead in having a reliable 12/6..and lots of fun playing ..ya wanna doubleneck..?..good value here..but be prepared to invest a little $ with a proper tech to bring it up to a no bad habits/ worrisome issues axe..enjoy!!!

I love mine, I've had it for about two and a half years! Mine actually came with rosewood and the fretboard back then. To me it looks like a PRS clone.

Looks a little like a cross between a PRS and an Ibanez. Kind of cool. Sounded OK, particularly with the OD and Spark, but I think those pedals could make just about anything sound good.

Great detailed review and your sense of humor is always appreciated. I check out these IYV's from time to time but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Also waiting for IYV's Rickenbaker-copy to be available again.

Those models have been around for a long time. I also was interested in them because I like the look of that vine of life, but I thought it would be confusing looking down at the neck to figure out where the hell I am when I'm playing. I also wish they were in a different color

I have the neck thru solid body version. It is really an extremely well made guitar. Glad you decided to get the semi hollow version. I wondered about that one.

Wow. That sounded great! I guessed, "Tangerine," before I saw your answer, but only after you had played a little more. I was just talking to a music store owner the other day about Danelectros. He said those were his absolute favorite electric guitars and he really likes the lipstick pickups. I don't know if it was the pickups or the fact that it's a 12-string (or some combination of both), but that thing sounds fantastic! That one's alright, but some of those Danelectros are just _weird_ looking. "There is a point to this story..." 😆 Glad it wasn't worse!

I believe you were playing Angie at first. I love the sound of that guitar. I think they sound as good, if not better than a Rickenbacker. I bought a used one from GC a couple of years ago. I put a set of 8's on mine and it plays pretty easy now. $300 is a great deal for that guitar. Try to keep your fingers away from spinning saw blades in the future.

Ordered mine last week. $98 and it carried a 50% off coupon. After taxes and Amazon day discount, I got it for just over $50 shipped. I make that deal. It arrives Monday. I'll report back.

I have the Element model. Overall it's a good guitar... But (and you knew there'd be a but), I really am starting to detest the color. I got the "Swift blue" version, and it's just so... Well, BLUE. I also am not a fan of the slider switch. It just feels cheap, like they bought it at Fender's garage sale. And the dry filter that's on the Element doesn't seem to do a whole lot. There's really nothing wrong with the guitar other than those things. I put a Yellow Submarine sticker on it to make it more mine, but that's not helping a whole lot. I might start calling it Papa Smurf because it's so blue. I'm not sure if I want to made a few mods or if I want to sell it, but when I'm getting to the point where I don't want to open the case anymore and see it's blueness staring back at me. The worst thing is the best color, the Copper Red, they don't sell in the US. Only in the UK and the EU.

This pedal is like the Fender Competition Drive. It’s just been re boxed. It’s meant to be on a pedal board. Imagine this pedal with the gain not quite so high. Stacked with a Tube screamer when you need to solo. Old school thoughts.

Yamaha has definitely quality problems with these. I got my brand new Revstar RSS02T and it had an incorrect radius bridge , poorly cut nut and high frets all causing buzzing. It took a luthier hours just to make it playable and the Yamaha customer service is non-existent. I am left with a guitar with tool marks on the get board, cracked binding, poorly fitted nut and water in the paint. Terrible quality and quality control!

This pedal is way better than it comes across here. Don't know how you managed to murder the tone on this one. It's an amazing Dumble style pedal, especially for the price.

Dose it come with the latency issue？I connect the mustang micro with a Bluetooth amp via AUX in，and find out the latency is noticeable.

I think it sounds pretty good but I would probably throw a quarter pound pick up in the bridge position they are punchy but not shrill. Yeah I was wondering about West Creek I was trying to find a good review and yours is a good honest review

You have so much reverb on the Amp. It’s really hard to hear what’s going on with the Guitar.

I haven’t tried a Westcreek yet but would like to. However, I recommend that you check out Tease guitars. I have their Tele style and their Strat style and they’re both fantastic guitars for the price. And unlike most budget brands, they’ve come set up and spec’d so that no mods are necessary. Their customer service is awesome, too.

I've had the RSS20 (humbucker version) for about six months now and wired it with the Psionic wiring (TH-cam). This was a big improvement to the guitar imho. I was thinking of also getting the P90 version but a bit on the fence about that. What do you reckon?

In the uk its currently £240 which is $320, not sure why the price has gone up so high and they also changed the whammy bar from gold to a basic chrome strat whammy bar, so i'll just have to wait for a sale for the price to go down, and then replace the chrome parts

I have been itching for one for awhile, thus I'm here. I have enough guitars and with P90's as well (2018 Gibson Firebird Studio) that sound really great but I keep coming back to being on the fence with this one. I figure eventually it will happen. Peace.

I own this exact model and color. The P-90's, the color, the inlays, stainless steel frets and chambering sold me. After owning it for a while I switched out the P-90's for Lollar's, switched out the switch and jack for Switchcraft as I didn't care for the stock, put a String Butler on it, tortoise shell pickguard from Ali Express that fit perfect, Graph Tech Ratio locking tuners, and wired it with the Psionic wiring (TH-cam) because I just couldn't get on with the stock wiring. I enjoy the guitar much more now, great crafted instrument, I just couldn't get along with those electronics personally, the build quality on the Indonesian standards from my experience is top notch.

Amazing guitar. I got one of these used at a good price. That Spark Booster adds something nice, but it does sound good right into an amp too. The satin neck (even though it has a gloss body) is a _great_ feature too, for me anyway. These "update" videos are great. Really helps to know how they hold up down the road.
