Redneck Mocha - Easy Outdoor Activity Friendly Mocha
In this episode, I explain how to make a Redneck Mocha. This Mocha is super simple and can be made basically anywhere where you can boil water.
All you need is instant coffee and a powdered hot chocolate and you should be all set.
1. Bring water to a rapid boil. Must be a rapid boil or hot chocolate will not mix well
2. Put water in a tall insulated tumbler. For some reason, regular coffee cups do not allow for the hot chocolate to mix well.
3. Add 1/2 packet of hot chocolate. Mix well for about 30 seconds.
4. Add 1-2 packets of instant coffee. This is depending on how strong you like your coffee.
5. Mix well again, let cool and enjoy.

In this episode, I took a nice 3.4 mile hike at Ruth & Paul Henning Conservation area near Branson, MO. I hiked with my Mom & dog Scarlett. On the hike, I saw a lot of neat limestone features (boulders), old oak areas, and even a small waterfall. It was a very neat trail and I highly recommend the trail for anyone looking for a decent hike in the Branson, MO area.

Shawnee National Forest is great! I've visited that place and driven through at least a dozen times. The prettiest part of Illinois. We usually stay in Harrodsburg.

I stayed at Trail of Tears Campground this past weekend. We also were lucky enough to get a shelter site. Those shelters are the best thing they done out there. Compared to the rest of the Shawnee and area, that area is super unique and amazing. Great video!
Shawn, thank you for the kind words. I really enjoyed my stay. You can really tell folks take real good care of the Forest, especially for being so remote (remote areas like this are prone to trash dumping and vandalism). I also hope to see more of Shawnee National Forest soon. I have yet to check out the Eastern part (near Garden of the Gods). I will have to check out your videos prior to my next trip in that area.
Recipe: BROWN the steak or ground beef with oil (mushrooms and garlic if using.) STIR in Sauce Mix and water (I used McCormick Stroganoff, but other brands can be used) BRING to boil; cover. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally Remove from heat; stir in sour cream. Serve over noodles or rice.
