I'm not a historian or linguist, but I can't help look at Illyrian names and some Greek gods and not see Albanian written all over them. Common Illyrian name Bardhylus. Alb Bardh (white) Hyll (Star)..White Star. Or goddes Aferdita, Aphrodite Alb: Afer (Near) Dita (day). She represents Venus which is the morning star. To this day Venus in Albanian is called Aferdita. Or Tetis, the goddes of the sea. ALB Deti (sea). Or Hyllius, Alb Hyll (star) and so on. What do we do with such obvious relations between Albanian, Illyrian and Greek mythology?

It's just a coincidence they have similar names. The caucasian state of Albania was in reality called Alpan in its native language, because the people worshipped a god called that. The proofs of it are still seen in lezgic languages, as there's words and phrases remaining from ancient time, as well as settlements in both Azerbaijan and Dagestan called Alpan. Caucasian Albania was an ancient state destoyed by arabs in the 8th century. You won't find this info on wikipedia, which states the real name of the caucasian Albania is unknown. I'm telling you that as a person of lezgian ethnicity. As for the balkan Albania, you can read the etymology on wiki. They have nothing in common and got names from different sources. There were no balkan albanians in the caucasus, never in history.
