What do you call the machine used for folding the sheet metal?

looks clean installation over the top. drives me nuts to see a furnace up flow setting on the ground with hole cut out on side of the cabinet for filter base. is that a Yankee thing we don t do that in the south. We hang our equipment looks nice cleaner that way the filter on the back of the funrace the way its supposed to be designed liner air flow is better to your not sucking the air from side of the blower assembly.

I always like flipping the furnace on the coil If I have the room, it keeps the lineset out of the way of the flu

My landlord just had a Goodman furnace with central air installed and the furnace guy never put a tube or pipe for the fresh air intake, is that normal to just suck the air from the furnace room which is fairly a small room?

Nice video, I have a similar Amana furnace that was installed ~2 years ago but at a service call last week the tech was telling me I needed to add a drain on the vertical air intake because of condensation dripping from the top. Have you seen this issue and how do you know when to put the drain in on the intake. I see it in the install manual as part RF000142.

Do you not have to remove the evaporator coil in order to replace the furnace?

Just curious but why is the coil above the transition?

That Goodman furnace is made in Houston Texas and it comes with an unbelievable installation manual explaining everything that you need to do to install that furnace if people would just read it they would know what to do. Great looking job love sheet metal work without that nasty foil tape on it.

One question, do you use cement on the joint between the furnace and the outlet(vent) pipe? I know the inlet pipe is connected with the rubber clamp. Also what type of junction box did you use for the electrical connection?

Very nice transition. You are one of the few like myself that use an awk. Guys don’t realize how far off a fitting can be laying out with felt tip pens. Actually I use mainly an ice pick because I’m too short to reach across 48” metal with my bench height. Good job man. Good job.

I would like to see the termination of the two PVC vents Exhaust and inlet fresh air. Did you go through the roof? Some just put the exhaust out the roof and terminate the fresh air in the attic maybe close to a roof jack? How did you do it?
