How much does that Duke weigh ?
Wet weight is 492 not counting sundries. Not light.
I am guessing by quality you refer to the easy of use and installation of it
Actually by quality I’m referring to quite a bit more than just ease of use and installation. You make a fair statement I didn’t explicitly specify in the video by which standards I was holding the product. To be fair there are a lot of videos about this product already so I was purposefully trying to be brief. So for all viewers and especially Lars, here is a more detailed breakdown of why I value this product so highly: 1. Ease of Use Dynamoto stands are exceptionally easy to use. Their unique omni-directional casters allow motorcycles to be maneuvered effortlessly in tight spaces. The intuitive design eliminates the struggle of repositioning heavy bikes manually. 2. Materials The stands are constructed with high-quality, durable materials such as steel and reinforced components, ensuring long-lasting performance even under significant weight and repeated use. 3. Fabrication Method Dynamoto employs precise manufacturing techniques, with attention to tolerances and robust welding. The stands exhibit excellent craftsmanship, reflecting a professional production process. 4. Durability Designed to support heavy motorcycles, Dynamoto stands are highly durable, withstanding regular use in garages and workshops without warping or weakening. The wheels are also resilient to wear over time. 5. Performance The omni-directional movement enabled by the unique caster system sets the stands apart in performance. They allow seamless maneuvering, making them ideal for constrained spaces or crowded garages. 6. Aesthetics The stands boast a sleek, modern design, with a minimalist and professional appearance that complements the motorcycle rather than detracts from it. 7. Safety There is no wheel locking mechanism or chalks to keep the stands from rolling on sloped ground - this could be an area of improvement. 8. Reliability Dynamoto stands consistently perform as intended, with no noticeable decline in functionality over time. Users report reliable operation, even under regular or heavy use. 9. Functionality The stands offer dual functionality: lifting the bike securely and enabling omni-directional movement. This versatility is a standout feature, enhancing their practical value. 10. Ergonomics The stands are ergonomically designed, with handles and mechanisms positioned for easy access. Lifting the motorcycle requires minimal physical effort, reducing strain on the user. 11. Size and Dimensions Compact and efficient, the stands are designed to take up minimal space while providing robust support. They fit various motorcycle types, including single-sided swingarm and standard bikes. 12. Packaging Dynamoto products arrive well-packaged, ensuring all components are protected during transit. Instructions and parts are neatly organized for a frustration-free setup experience. 13. Environmental Impact While the stands are built for durability (reducing the need for frequent replacements), additional information about the sourcing and sustainability of materials could enhance their eco-friendly profile. 14. Warranty and Support Dynamoto provides solid customer support and warranty coverage, ensuring that any manufacturing defects or issues are addressed promptly. 15. Cost-to-Quality Ratio While the stands are priced at a premium, their superior functionality, durability, and unique features make them a worthwhile investment for motorcycle enthusiasts and professionals. 16. Attention to Detail Every aspect of the stands reflects meticulous design, from the precision of the caster system to the finish of the steel. The details contribute to a seamless and high-quality user experience. 17. Flourishes Unique features like the omni-directional casters, detailed directions and professional grade painting and branding add a level of innovation that delights users. The thoughtful design simplifies motorcycle maintenance and storage significantly. 18. Comparison to Competitors Dynamoto stands outperform traditional motorcycle paddock stands with their unmatched maneuverability and versatility. Few competitors offer a comparable combination of innovation and practicality, making Dynamoto a clear leader in its category.
@@actionmotorcycles This is quite extensive, but i see more why you talked about them the way you did. I am not familiar with them, but i do like the omni-direction system, their size and the fact that they look quite versatile in their design. It also looked quite easy and simple to use. This is what stood out to me the most and also why i mentioned this in my initial comment. I am curious to how the omni-direction system would work on a more rugged surface. As can be seen in your video the surface in your garage is quite flat and smooth looking. For now this is not important to me though as there are quite a lot of things i need to sort out before looking for such items....of which would be to get the license and a bike. Appreciate the video and your extensive reply.

What pannier racks do you have for your Mosko luggage?
The Reckless 40L and Reckless 80L do not require panniers. I love them, specifically for that reason. Their system allows the bags to be removed with the harness still attached to the bike. I highly recommend you check them out… and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel! Let me know if you’d like to know more about them.
What's the app you're using to show speed, etc?
Great question! Are you talking about some of my shorts, etc? There is a GPS remote accessory for the Insta360 cameras that collects all the telemetry data and you can choose how to present it through the Insta360 app. Works great… as long as you remember to use it!
Rode across the bridge in March of 1978. Got to the other side and a ranger said, don't you know the bridge is closed for the season! Told him now I do. Started up the old panhead and said thanks for the great views. He said come back in the summer. Never made it back, but would like too.
Awesome story! Wish we could have ridden across, but was not meant to be. Definitely a fantastic view and cool destination!
So cool ..thanks for creating and sharing this

Have you ridden the Harley? It’s pretty sweet. I’m looking for Desert x rally.
The DDX is incredible, after having now pushed it hard in a number of different terrains. I have not ridden the Harley but I hear it’s super heavy. My dad rides a Multistrada V4 Rally that has the same motorized suspension adjustment. My only major viable complaint about the DDX is the wind buffeting at 70+mph.
@@actionmotorcycles shorter windscreen and get clean air. Windshields will always make wind buffering. I’ve been racing dirt bikes and riding Harley’s for 30 years and absolutely hate buffering. Ha I’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to make bikes right. Either a full fairing or nothing at all. Cool videos!
@@actionmotorcycles Go demo a pan am, it will surprise you. I’m looking for something more for doing Colorado passes (BDR’s) or I would get one.
@johnanthony6141 Yeah, I’m in sort of a ‘fashion is suffering’ scenario with the DDX because the shorty and touring windscreens change the aesthetic of the bike IMO. 😂 Thank you for watching!!
Let’s compare a thoroughbred racehorse against a pony. Ha
@@johnanthony6141 Yeah in a lot of ways it’s not a fair fight… coming from someone who is 5’-8”, the seat height of the Himalayan makes it one of very few realistic options for a significant amount of the population. Thanks for commenting!
You should grab the new Himalayan 450.
Absolutely! Keep an eye out for a test ride video coming your way. I plan on riding my 411 to the shop and doing a direct comparison one ride after the other!
having to get dealer to reset service light on desert x is a deal breaker
That’s fair enough… have you seen FortNine’s video on all the things ‘recommended’ or ‘required’ to be done at the dealership? Really tough for an ADV bike. However, IMO that kinda comes with the territory if you’re buying a Ducati. For me the wind buffeting at highway speeds coming off that windscreen is MUCH more of a dealbreaker… but it just looks so good :)
Lol hell no.
Thanks for the feedback!
This song is awful
Thanks for the feedback!
Buddy... you need to be riding no less than 35mph in sand to stay up and straight on these big bikes. Look at some of my videos, we eat up sand like it's a dirt road, some times riding in it as slow as 45mph, alot of times 60+. With a t7 and a klr650
Look at Kansas shining like a beacon of hope for tourists!
Thanks for your comment!
Beautiful ride!
Thank you! It was amazing!
The new logo and all the tech add so much to the videos. Makes the wipeout not as bad, hope you're okay though!
Thanks!! I’ll be trying out a couple different logos - you heard it here first I have stickers coming!
Heavy bikes are not good on sand/silt... but that's just something you'll need to get used to rather than a disaster. Technique can help quite a bit but I've not yet found a technique that eliminates the occasional sand wipe out on 450+lb bikes. On my 701 I can avoid wipes on sand completely by keeping speeds down (20 or so when I'm carrying full luggage)... but there is no speed that I've found that works on heavyweight bikes like the DesertX. Going faster is actually better but you will still have issues and then when you wipe it'll be more energetic. Low tire pressure helps a LOT but on big bikes that's not a typical option (not even sure how easy/hard it would be to get bead lock rims for a bike like that).
I’m been telling myself ‘it is what it is’ a lot. Looks like going slow and duck walking is going to be the baseline approach. My biggest challenge is that this stuff comes out of nowhere on this trail.
Gravity mixed with loose sand... sucks lol... wiped out a many times that way....safe riding out there!
Thanks! Such is the life! Plan is to go back and ride the route I wanted to try in 4x4 to see if it’s bad sand everywhere or just in that one spot. I love adventure riding but 2 days worth of surprise sand isn’t exactly by dean ride…
I like all of them!
That’s good news!
5 👍
Thank you!
Definitely 5 really cool btw im a new subscriber
Thank you!
Oh my.
Wait until you see the next video…
5
Thank you!
I like the second and the last.
Thanks!!
These are some insane views!
Yeah! Thanks for watching! Just wait, this is just a warm up!
Hm I would go for 5 or 6 but it really depends on if you want bright color or a natural color
Thank you for your input!
@@actionmotorcycles your welcome^^
Beautiful ride!
Thank you!!
Awesome! Wish I was there!
Next time!
Stand up and ride it like a dirt bike, it works on that bike, it even worked wonders on my 2010 BMW GS12A.
Well - That’s what I thought too… wait until you see my next video. IMO those 70/30 tires and my skill level combined just need to equate to me going slow through deep sand.
Wrong tires for skill level, need to lean back and be on the power. Never get complacent.
Much appreciated advice! Looking at Trailmax Raids.
There's only one thing worse than being stuck in sand, mud, or snow; that's being stuck in it alone.
Very lucky I had someone stop by… weirdest thing ever getting wedged into the sand curb…
Careful dude!! 😮
All part of the fun!
And let's not forget you can get three Himalayan for the price of one Desert X. Probably four by the time you've added a couple of minor options to the Ducati. They're a nice bike to ride but I just wouldn't want to own one for fear of smashing it up. The Himalayan is so sturdy, it's likely to break whatever it falls onto, rather than break itself.
Absolutely. Though I will say the DDX is amazingly sturdy as well based on the abuse I’ve already put it through.
Great content!!
Thank you!!
And don’t forget that you can get 2.5 Himalayans brand new for the price of ONE DX! This together with the lower operating cost also opens up the market of new bikes for many riders who don’t have a strong private economy!
I reckon easily three, maybe even four Himalayans for the price of one Desert X with a few options added.
In my country you can get about 5 Himalayans for the price of a stock DX 😅
Sounds about right!
Controversial motorcycle opinions: Passing patched riders is ok There should be a federal motorcycle helmet law and they should be required on all public roads US drivers will never be ready for lane splitting Loud pipes might just be annoying and not save many lives
Excellent ideas! I’ll let someone else test the passing patched riders thought probably… but the helmet law is a great topic! Everyone knows loud pipes save lives 😂 How is that controversial at all? 😎
@@actionmotorcycles great video btw :)
Thank you!!
It isn't controversial at all. It was scientifically proven to be a myth, years ago. Lol
Are you sure?
A pretty compelling argument for the ergonomics of adventure bikes on the market. Very well done.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! Hope you keep watching!

Did I miss something? Vinales is on Aprilia....
Yeah… posted before I saw the qualifying times! Maverick couldn’t be touched this weekend…
Solid list! I sub'd to the channel. Im on a Himalayan as well. Its an amazing machine.
Glad you liked it! Happy to subscribe back!
Yeah well... It's still not a Harley Davidson! And that's like comparing a VW Beetle to a Mercedes Benz or a Lexus! In my opinion! 😎
Lol no the RE is certainly not an HD… I don’t think I actually made that comparison in the video. Just wait, in a couple weeks I’m going to literally compare it to a Ducati Desert X and really stir the pot! Thanks for watching!
what's tour inseam and what's your hight,,,,congrats to your dream machine, cheers V!
Thank you! I’m 5’8” with a 30” inseam. Certainly a challenge to adapt to the seat height but far from impossible to ride! please consider subscribing if you haven’t already. Cheers!
@@actionmotorcycles since you areseasoned rider already you will adopt and progress quickly 👌💪👌
Thank you for the vote of confidence! It’s definitely been an experience that’s forced me to improve on fundamentals!
I liked your top 10. But i think you need a clearer audio bud. But still good work
Thanks! Yep definitely still learning with the audio setup. Keep watching and hopefully you’ll see improvement!
Great video! The new bike looks like a ton of fun.
Thanks Jeff! It will be fun taking it up to Colorado later this year!!
I only have a few issues with the Himalayan, and they’re probably not much different than many others but as long as you remember “why” you bought a RE and not a Kawasaki, Honda, KTM, etc, you’re gonna have a bike that’ll do point A to B. That’s what this bike is all about. Getting you out there. Nice job!! Your sound and video equipment works well!! Willie
Thanks Willie! Genuinely my only real issue with the REH is not whether it can do cross-country or long distance highway trips between off-road adventures but whether I have the time to only travel 70mph (at redline no less) making such a trip. Coming from a pro I appreciate the compliments! Your videos make it look easy sir! I’m still trying to get the right balance for sound at high speed.
@@actionmotorcycles My videos? lol 😂 I’m just a ham, I wing it… I Have fun with it, try to entertain and hopefully those who watch get something from it as well. You’re in a very “content worthy” area.. where I am in Va, not so much. Too much freakin’ pavement😝 I’d love to be where you are.. great scenery and places to ride. With all that, as long as you keep it entertaining while enjoying it yourself, don’t turn it into work, you’ll go a long way.. I started out with a fishing channel that has morphed in to an outdoors channel and my most watched video is on the Honda Monkey🤪😄… Most people watch TH-cam for “information” and if you’re lucky, they subscribe and follow. Doing the “outdoor thing” on a motorcycle will keep people watching. I do a little bit of everything, so I understand there’s videos people will watch and some that won’t get watched as much.. but I’m totally cool with that. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, my opinion means squat😆, but you’ve got a good foundation.. Willie
I own a 22 Himalayan. I’ve owned many motorcycles but I bought the Himalayan based on how much you get for the money compared to the big name Japanese companies. A lot less dealership mark up on the REH. I found that as long as you look at the Himalayan as a motorcycle that is in a class of its own and try not to compare it to Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, etc.. you have a bike that’s a lot like a multi-tool, for lack of better example. It’s a tool, it does the job. Not the fastest, most comfortable, or even dependable in some aspects but does the job. I wanted something that would “do the job” and not spend $8,000 on a bike with a $6,000 sticker. I like my Himalayan but it has its flaws. I also have two Honda Monkeys, which are a blast, would love to ride one of them on the beach in Galveston, that would be awesome. Nice video Man!! Willie, Newport News, Va.
Thanks Willie! That’s exactly how I feel, it’s in a class by itself specifically set apart by it’s value - what you get for the price. I will say this, it has the lowest seat height of anything remotely in its class and certainly has the lowest seat height of any bike capable of doing what it does so well. Glad you enjoyed the video! Keep watching, big things coming up! Come on down to TX sometime and we’ll get some sand on your tires.
@@actionmotorcycles I’m binge watching as we speak. I have a channel as well, I understand the trials and tribulations, believe me!! lol
Much appreciated! I’ll check out your channel as well!
Grew up in Houston Galveston. Escaped 6 years ago to SW Colorado where I ride dual sports, and the biggest risk is hitting a deer or going over the edge. Be careful in that concrete jungle with all those cars trying to kill you. Liked the beach riding and would like to do that. An adventure video idea for you: ride the entire Texas coast at the waters edge.
Thanks for the compliments and the advice! I love your video idea… I’ve got a couple big trips planned for 2024 but that needs to get added to the list. I love the concept and the ‘personal challenge’ aspect. Safe riding in Colorado - keep an eye out for me up there next summer!
@@actionmotorcycles Look up Lake City Colorado and the Alpine Loop. Give that Himalayan a proper work out.
Will do!
Have you ridden up to Pikes Peak or have you ridden Phantom Canyon Road? I’m going to have to get something a bit more robust before I ride up to CO. Stay tuned for that!
@@actionmotorcycles I have driven in a truck to the top of pikes peak. Nice to say that we "climbed" that one. Dont know anything about Phantom Canyon. Look into southwest colorado where the pavement ends. The front range is crowded with idiots (like Houston - LOL) and is a tourist trap.
So right! Have ridden my -21 for 10,500 miles. It has everything I need. What I don't need is traction control or a number of different settings. No unnecessary forces that a computer needs to control. I will solve it myself.
I can see if I was doing more cross country riding I’d possibly want a bigger engine and then have a mode to dial it back for off-road vs street. However the Himalayan absolutely works for me for everything I need.
