Doesn't sound like much of a right if you have to get the government's permission.

Czech Republic has the best weapon laws in the world. Guns are not available to everyone, but anyone, who is not criminal, don't suffer with mental illness, is adult and who will be successfull in the theoretical and practical exams, can have it. All legal guns are registered by the police. It is much better, than to have many unregistered and uncontrolled weapons in the public. Logic is simple and right, because anyone, who really wants a gun, can have it from the black market. And the legal way is the best.

While western europe has hard guns control and can't finish with violence problems and terrorism, CZ has less violence and more firearms. My respect to Czech Republic!

As a Russian weapons enthusiast, I am sincerely glad that the Czech state trusts its own population, unlike other EU and CIS countries. I myself am the owner of Grand Power T12 Fm 2, which is a traumatic version of Grand Power K100, an excellent gun!

Other than self defense, most commonly touted, why do you need a firearm? Criminals also say self-defense. From other's than themselves, and they're right too on that. So what makes a firearm important? That's right. Power. Self defense is a BS excuse. It's about sports, the power that you have that comes from a gun. That's the truth. Everybody knows it. We just excuse it with all sorts of other things. A spear is also used for self defense against a sabretooth tiger, but in the hands against of another human being, is it still self defense? It's just power. Doesn't matter who wields the gun. Glock didn't care if he invented the gun and it was used by both criminals and police/morally righteous people both alike, he sold a product, a tool, and it was just that. At the end of the day, ban guns, but you can't ban the human mind. Which is what they're trying to bloody do.

Since many years in Austria it’s nearly impossible to get a carry license. Even our military special forces had problems to get a license for that, which is completely retarded, but now they are allowed to carry. Here you also can buy just 2 semiautomatic weapons, after 5 years you can get more..what is as well a weird thing.

The difference is that we do not see the guns as "religious items" as they do in America. Yes, our gun laws are relatively more relaxed compared to many other countries, but in our culture, guns are still just tools for self-defense. They are not means for displaying your political opinions. They are not a way to show your nostalgia for the segregation era. They are, after all, lethal weapons and they should be handled only by responsible adults.

It might be worth mentioning that Czech people are pretty peaceful, and tend to solve their problems peacefully. Aggressiveness is socially seen as very rude and undesirable.

There are too many freaks in Prague and the Czech Republic to allow guns. Last week one of the freaks tried to cripple me. I was more than happy to change my location from Prague to the UAE. One of the safest places on the Earth. I've been in Paris, Brussels, and Berlin. Europe is no longer safe and the situation will only get worse.

Great video. You should do one about Ukraine if you haven't done yet. It's a total fuck up. Watching this video made me envy to have government like people have in Czech Republic. I'm in Ukraine now, and here civilians still can't buy short firearm for self defence. Short firearm like pistols can be obtained only with special permits, that are obviously highly abused in government, when they are being issued to many corrupt politicians and people that work for them. This type of permit works as an honorary weapon, issued by government. So they issued to their judges, prosecutors, deputies, their assistances, mistresses, etc. In rare cases military people get same type of pistol awarded, for some unique deeds done in battle. Civilians can only obtain carbines and smooth bore shotguns for hunting. And it is in the country that is already at full scale war for 3 years.
