The station’s i94 era lasted ten years, of which it played classic hip hop during the period of 2015-2017. The i94 era became defunct in 2019 when the station dropped its branding of Energy after Cumulus bought WZPL and became a mainstream rock station.

I love this station the varieties 80s, 90s and today I've listened to this since I was a kid and now I'm 20 years old, I'm driving the same 2005 Chrysler Pacifica (it's now my car) that my family played this station when going somewhere I also love the 80s lunch I love listening to it

How cool! I’ve stumbled upon jingles I haven’t heard since the 80s and 90s. I remember hearing these on radio stations KQKQ Sweet 98 and KEFM Lite 96, both out of Omaha.

2003 and 2007 were my favorite packages with these particular jingles, both also used by B 94 in Pittsburgh, which is where I originally heard them.

Ironically this station has never played a song from DMX.

My dad used to work at WABD in the early 1970’s across from the main gate in Ft. Campbell Kentucky. I was just a tiny kid but I remember all of it. I remember seeing the Soldiers who were going to and coming home from the Vietnam War. I wasn’t allowed to talk to them because mom and dad were hippies. I remember how interesting the Soldiers looked and how I wanted to be like them. I finally joined up in 1988 and retired in 2006 due to medical issues from Iraq. I believe WABD went by “Solid Rock” back then. It was the first time I ever heard the Little River Band and others as well. I sure miss those days.

There was a time in the early 90s when several CHRs across Upstate New York had the same jingle package: WPXY Rochester, WNTQ Syracuse, WRCK Utica-Rome and WKSE Buffalo were all running elements of this jingle package at the same time.

Nice! The jingle at 4:20 is one I'd been looking for ever since I first heard it played on a western Wisconsin station out of Eau Claire (Also named Z100 at the time) back in the mid 90's. I'd commented on another video with Jam Jingles for Z100 from 1984 with one that sounded similar. It's great to hear it again. Thank you for uploading this!
