i think you can tune the b string down to g, and play both the g and b string open through the whole thing. you get that wall of sound like the album, no idea if anton did that but sounds really close. thanks for the video man.

I'm about a third of the way through it. I'm the same age as him, so there are Gen X touchstones I can relate to. I've been reading rockstar bios as a hobby for 40+ years. It was also cool to read about BJM opening for Oasis during their first tour in the US, with that reunion happening and a lot of 30-year lookbacks in general. It was the DIG! movie that got me into BJM. I'm also a huge Stones fan and went down a Brian Jones rabbit hole again with a new movie released last year, plus the one about Anita Pallenberg this year. I bought the other BJM book, Keep Music Evil, and plan to read that as well, but I had to read Joel's first.

i read it too and i liked it a lot. it kinda derailed me from my christian values with the focus on fun, like in the beatnik books. but i guess that happens with everything: just after you've watched a movie aswell or maybe when a song is hyping you up. Also, I wanna give you huge props for having so many videos on how to play bjm. i think most people here, me included, are still learning to play guitar and thanks to you we can have a lot of fun with your simple tutorials. keep it up man!
