Wildlife Photography doesn't have to be complicated
Wildlife photography is when our emotions and feelings unite with the heartbeat of nature. Today I want to share my thoughts on running away to that quiet place with your camera when there is so much noise that divides us. Nature and wildlife photography is more than capturing a photo. It's about capturing peace and joy in a chaotic world to bring hope and light in the darkness. I hope you enjoy today's photography adventure.

It's literally is the gear and the operator. We really need folks to stop pretending otherwise. The World including most doing photographer would be better far off it they did. There is nothing Wrong with anyone wanting to use older GEAR and their equally nothing wrong with those that prefer the latest and greatest GEAR. So whatever it takes for that person to enjoy their hobbies.

Kevin: Another great video, it is not the gear, it is the operator. Tuesday morning, I was out shooting the Aurora with a 10, 7 and a 1.5 year old cameras. My flagship was a spare. Sometimes the older gear works better than the newest stuff for sale at your camera store. Out of 700+ shots, I narrowed it down to 7 and sent them to Jeff for viewing on Saturday night. I say get out and shoot for the experience, if I get one good shot that is great, if I don't get a good shot, that is okay too. I treat photography as an experiment. sometimes, you succeed, sometimes you fail and you try again. I succeed more often, now. Keep up the great work. I enjoy watching your videos. See you Saturday night?

Nature and wildlife photgraphy has been so healing and relaxing for me after dealing with much stress. So grateful I found my way back to this hobby 4 years ago. As a 15 yr old I made my own darkroom in a closet, borrowed an old machine from the 50/60s, got all the chemicals and developed my own film and photos. This was in the late 80's. Then with school, college and everything else I just drifted away from it. And now decades later it's giving me so much again. Love the channel - you seem like a great dude. Come to the UK, it is July and rain is forecast for the whole month. Or go to Donana in Spain, an internationally important wetland, now dry because farmers have sucked out all the water, or Malaga province where a 3yr drought has all but eliminated the wildlife. Amen. Nature is medicine. I like being out in Nature and don’t like the processing side so much, as I sit in front of a computer for work. Recently I try to take less photos when I’m out. I look for the “ shot of the day”. If the birds aren’t out, I may turn to bees and butterflies. Even spiders and bugs. I just drove 1000 miles to the southeastern corner of Arizona to spend a week hanging out in nature photographing birds. Of all the birds I have seen so far I only have one picture I really like. I have never seen this type of bird before so very happy to get a photo. Two Black bellied whistling ducks standing together on a rock in the middle of a pond. The last type of bird I thought I would see in the desert in July. Anyway thanks for another great video. Joe

Several years ago I put away the camera and was done with photography for good. It really had very little to do with photography itself, but a lot of little things everywhere. I don't know how long this lasted, but it was a few months at least. I finally took the camera out to shoot some photos of my daughters for a mothers day present to my wife. I think she was more excited about my return to photography than I was. Haven't put the camera away in the same manner since, but I definitely get moments that I feel like I'm ready to do so. It's usually the times when I haven't been able to get out like I really want to, but as soon as I get out with the camera, I'm cured. Keep living the dream.

I totally relate. There are waves that come and go where I feel uninspired. But when I force myself to go, I am glad I did. Not so much for the photography, but being out in nature, and if I get a shot, then that's a bonus. Alot of the stress of life weighs us down but I've been forgetting lately to go back to my why. When I do that, I'm filled with joy again. Thanks for watching.
