Reinebringen hike
Lee-Anne and I hiked from our amazing cottage in Reine up Reinebringen. I would have loved to have flown the drone, but I decided it best to adhere to the local regulations, despite the obnoxious swarming of drones as we approached the top. That aside, nothing could come close to diminishing the remarkable scenery and challenging upwards hike as we approached the viewpoint. I would love to spend more time in Norway if only time would allow it.

Driving at Spa-Francorchamps
มุมมอง 1692 ปีที่แล้ว
A few years ago I was lucky enough to share a race car with my teammate Andrie Hartanto at the Nurburgring. The experience kick started a desire to hit as many of the “bucket list” tracks as possible. What seemed so unattainable now seemed possible. Two years ago my wife booked a driving experience at Spa, but due to Covid, we never made it out. Finally this February, we made the decision to ma...
Flashback to 2019 VLN 3
มุมมอง 262 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick clip of the early phases of the VLN enduro at the Nordschleife. Had only a handful of laps under my belt. First ever race in the rain (in any race, at any track). Coming down Döttinger Höhe and trying to gain ground on competitors in front, I instead decided to stay smack in the middle of the track to allow for space as the GT3 leaders were battling. If memory serves correct, this was the...
Faroe Islands - Vágar - Lake Sørvagsvatn, Trælanípa, Bøsdalafossur Hike
มุมมอง 1882 ปีที่แล้ว
We went for a hike back during our trip to the Faroe Islands in November 2021. It was by no means a difficult hike, but the cold, windy and sometimes rainy conditions made it much more interesting! Stunning views. Remarkable scenery. Was a terrific start to our first full day away from home and work. Music: Sand & Gold - Karlo
Thunderhill East Cyclone - Honda S2000 - Speed SF - 12/11/21

Haven't been to Thunderhill East to run any proper laps since early 2019. Spent most of the day running dead tires, but finally threw on some newer tires. Worked my way up to a comfortable pace and got a clean lap. Figured I'd share.

Haven't been to Thunderhill West to run any proper laps since 2019. First session out with the S2000 and got a clean lap in. The lap was a bit sloppy, but it it turned out to be the only one I had without traffic. Regardless, the track is still a riot.
Sonoma testing NA Honda S2000
มุมมอง 1572 ปีที่แล้ว
Hadn’t run on new tires in awhile. Excuse the missing dash; we had been trying to troubleshoot electrical problems and finally got some consistent running in without issue. Decided to try and clock a few fast laps, but I’m a bit rusty at really pushing. Car still has a fair amount of improvements left in it and we still have a few issues to try and address, too, but was happy to finally be runn...
Sonoma after 8+ month layoff
มุมมอง 403 ปีที่แล้ว
Haven’t driven in over 8 months. Using tires from 2019. Not the fastest, but it felt good to get out there in the final long session of the day and drive 22 laps, most of which were at least under 1:50. Need to get back behind the wheel again soon.
Assetto Corsa AI is pretty ruthless

Trying to get a little more aggressive here. I’m driving the Z4M and make a pretty gutsy move into Aremberg and got ahead. Even left a little room for the AI-controlled BMW E92 M3. Guess the computer didn’t really care? Assetto Corsa store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/tid=CUSA01830_00
Getting a little more comfortable with the car
มุมมอง 774 ปีที่แล้ว
235hp, 2750 lbs (w driver) or so. Honda S2000. Finally got a decent session in at Thunderhill. Was still braking a bit conservatively due to us having ABS failures, but the balance and grip was feeling pretty solid. Still some more shaking down needed and I have some more work to do from a driving perspective, but I’m happy with how things are starting to take shape.
Trying out our new S2000 at Laguna Seca
มุมมอง 2634 ปีที่แล้ว
I was super excited to finally drive our new S2000. We did a shakedown earlier, but I only managed a couple laps. In the first session, the car (ahem, me, the driver) spun twice in the only two laps I drove, so I was very apprehensive to push too hard right away. With that said, I’m definitely doing a bunch of feeling-out in this session, but I was pretty encouraged. Unfortunately, the car was ...
Ooops at Buttonwillow
มุมมอง 785 ปีที่แล้ว
Playing around at Buttonwillow with my friends at SpeedSF. Witnessed a bit of an unfortunate off-track adventure at Buttonwillow's Bus Stop corner. Car and driver were okay. Unfortunately, the off could be seen coming from a pretty far distance away, so as it can been seen, space was given. No fast lap is worth car contact and since the title of track-day champ doesn't exist, it didn't make sen...

VLN3 2019 - CUP5 - M240i Racing - Playing Catch-Up Down a Wet Döttinger Höhe
มุมมอง 555 ปีที่แล้ว
In the opening lap of my first wet race ever, (go figure, it’s at the Nürburgring), I played it safe and gave up positions to some very aggressive out of class cars. My entire driving career has consisted of wheeling underpowered cars, so one can’t imagine the bliss of being able to put my foot down and re-take all of those spots. Never mind the fact that they weren’t in my class. It was still ...
NASA ST4 - Sonoma Sunday Qualifying Race
มุมมอง 2495 ปีที่แล้ว
We haven’t had the best season so far in 2019. We’ve struggled with oil pressure, engine problems, engine failure, electrical gremlins, plus aerodynamic and tire balance. This past weekend added more difficulty as we tried to troubleshoot throttle issues. Even worse, during Saturday’s race, we made contact with a competitor, which cost us our points for the weekend and a spot on the grid for Su...

Fun driving with you that weekend, car looks very well setup. Is this on A7's?
Thanks! This was on some slightly used Hankook C51s…right before they start to drop off into the abyss. Wouldn’t mind trying some A7s though. They’re supposed to be pretty fast.
Hauling
The aero balance looks perfect
Serious driving at 10mins. I thought the Prelude would hit you - awesome recovery!
Ha! I see my car...twice! 0:25 and 0:28 small world...
Can you share the name of the place?

Whats the name of this place
It’s in the title
Looks like quite a fun circuit with all the undulation going on. If you’re ever in the ATL region, let me know Mike. Moved back to the States 3 months ago after 26+ years away.
It’s a great place to drive! One of these years I’ll participate in the 25 Hour race here. Welcome back!! I hear ATL has a ton of cool things going for it. How’s it feel being back?
Michael Ostby it’s kind of different, but alright.
This thing flies. Brilliant driving to match as well!
Bummer the noise limit. Car looks quick, supercharged? ~1:40 lap?
Karl Taht barely supercharged, haha. 2.5lbs boost. We got it down to 1:38, but needed some more confidence under braking. This car previously did a high 1:36 with good, new tires and an naturally-aspirated motor, so with a bit more dialing-in, it ought to be pretty fast.
@@strikerflo19 that's a super impressive time. What tire setup are you on / plan to get?
Karl Taht not sure yet. Still have a bit of testing to do, but probably weighing options between Hankook and Toyo for now, but we’ll see
@@strikerflo19 Subscribed! Hopefully someday I can match this in my S!
You'll go faster if you stop going 0mph as indicated on your speedo. lol
Gary W hahahahaha true.
Great driving! How are you getting brake data from the S2000? I’m also using the AiM Solo 2 DL and Smartycam with a generic OBD2 protocol.
Same question here!!!! Have you figured out?
Tianheng Chen No, unfortunately! I don’t believe it’s possible with stock sensors so still no idea.
Daniel Ha damn....I really want those signals to diagnose my driving
Like the commentary, well done! Hope you'll get your car sorted!
That's some good driving and sporty times for the West side. What are your times on the 3 mile bypass?
raymond Larimore last time we ran it in decent conditions, I think we were doing 1:56s or so. I can’t recall specifically, to be honest, as we didn’t race much there this season
@@strikerflo19 That's also a great time. I'm barely breaking 2 minutes in my C7GS and I live 7 miles from the track. Needless to say I run a lot of events there but not a fan of the 2 mile. Hairpins are ridiculous.
raymond Larimore I hear ya! I enjoy the track for its rapid-fire corners and the fact that it makes you work for it. It’s a good track to build some confidence with car control and heavy braking in those hairpins, without carrying a ton of speed. I hated it at first, but grew to appreciate it. That said, when driven fast, I feel like it can be pretty hard on equipment. I offer private one-on-one instruction and coaching if you’d like to come out. I can take you out in my car as a reference and then we can work on seeing how we can improve on lap times. 2 mins is pretty solid as it is, but I bet we could find a little more time!
Looking good! Glad to see the new berm is fast!
Can I ask what data overlay software you are using?
AIM Smartycam
Looks good!
What are alignment specs and suspension?
What motor f22a? with an AP1 ecu?
what motor f22a? with an AP1 ecu?
This looks like a AP1 body style!? Was this a replaced engine and not original? Did you learn the car was low on oil?
Congrats! I recently passed the Series 7&63 so I know how you feel :)
Damn what suspension you on? It's a bit bouncy..
Crsx checking in lol
Where did you get that buddy club wind sheild banner? Super dope
what suspension you on, seems a lil bouncy
DC5 keeping up w/ S2Ks is impressive!
Looking like old times Mike. Still waiting for a roof skin replacement. :P haha
you were going.. ugh pretty fast says justin! AHAHAH
Yup! You can run pretty much any suspension. I'm still running usdm type-s axles and have since 2007 without an axle failure. Calipers and rotors shouldn't be a problem, either, although one of the benefits of typically picking up the LCAs is to run the Brembo calipers since the Type S calipers are the worst brakes I've ever tracked on.
@strikerflo19 Is there anyway to use JDM ITR LCA's without installing every other ITR suspension component? Axles, rotors, calipers, coilovers.
strikerflo - but I'm rarely on there anymore. It's a little bit of a different setup than most DC5s out there. I'm running Racing Gear JTC N1 suspension, which has a different front arm than most aftermarket coilovers. Also, I'm running the JDM ITR lower control arms, J's Racing Tie Rods, J's Racing roll center adjusters, Alex front sway bar and Hotchkis competition rear sway bar. I think the spring rates are 14k in the front 18k in the rear.
What's your username on CRSX? I'd like to know more about your suspension setup.
Check them out at their website petlions.com!

Hahaha...yeah, I wasn't too happy about that. The funny thing is that my sector times barely showed much time lost in that sector, so it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought...but still, not exactly the way I wanted to enter the corner. I was running on Bridgestone RE-11s. Thanks!
i can see you shake your head at 7:15 after a bit too fast entering the corner : ) what tires you were using? Great driving.
love the noise when you let off the throttle, although it would be definitely too loud for the street and most likely too loud on some racetracks. Is the 70RR Jasma stamped anymore?
I haven't run the new layout yet, but my fastest time (on street tires) with the old layout was in the high 1:32s the last time I was there a couple years ago. I posted up the start of that session where I was lapping in the 1:34s or so. I'd really like to try the new section. I hear it's pretty fun!
btw you ever run the new track with the extra 1710' or so added? i've only been their once ran a 2:00 with my stock cobalt and worn factory tires
the 2nd lap makes me very jealous of the grip
This is actually a video before I even had a cage in the car. I now have an autopower bolt-in for now. Hopefully I'll be able to afford an actual fabricated cage. Just trying to make sure I at least get on the track more than 2-3 times a year at this point.
nice driving. what roll cage do you have? was it bolt in or weld?
j's racing 60rs or 70rs
very loud :)

what exhaust set u running? sounds real good. rh+bc pro spec?
