Planting Season - Setup with the RX9620
Well underway for planting season 2023! Actually almost halfway done and we have only been at it for 8 days. Started April 23rd with the planter and a day later with the drill here seen in this video. Happy planting!
What a joy delivering Oats this week...
Come with for two days of loading and trucking oats! Things did not go as planned: augers broke down, motor issues, and truck broke down. Alas, we did manage to fulfill all the contracts, just took a bit longer loading than usual. Wheat delivered later on, and went perfectly, filling a super-B in 20 minutes = beautiful. The newest addition to the farm!
The new 6R215 has arrived. Traded it in for our "old" JD tractor. This new one has a front PTO which we will be using during hay season to cut grass with a front AND back mower. Also short look on the new shop and the progress so far. Very excited for my woodworking room as well. Take a guess what project we got going on in the old shop shown towards the end of the video! It is almost done! Hin...
Harvest2022recap
Finally put some time aside to put together our Harvest 2022 drone videos! Harvest 2022 we used our Fendt 1050 to pull the grain cart and our 2 new pre-series 8800 claas combines as well as our one-year-old S790 JD combine. My fiancé and I operated the claas combines and my grandpa drove the JD as well as another farmhand. This last harvest was a great season: weather was great and crop quality...
Let's talk CRG and Base Station!
Little intro to the CRG receiver and then I go through the installation of the RTK-ready device. Also showed how to set up your own base station, in this case an Emlid device! The CRG is on all our different brands of equipment and we have our own base station set up on our shop. Love love love RTK accuracy!! Check out www.agragps.com for more info if you are interested! @agra-gps5132 Music fro...
Buying a Hay Tedder!
Buying a (new to our farm) hay tedder! Our old one has only 4 circles and we are getting into the hundreds of acres of hay, so this will be a nice addition to the farm. However things on the farm did not go as planned, have a water leak from a hit sewage line...and the ground is frozen...not ideal. Also added some content from this past summer in 2022 on how the space looked like before the new...

We are well underway for harvest 2022 and just got our first rain day! Caught up on some maintenance, worked on projects, and was able to pull some clips together from the beginning of harvest until now!
Intro to GPS & Autosteer in Farming!
Short introduction to GPS and how we autosteer and mapping in farming! GPS has allowed us to be more precise than ever before and there are so many benefits to this! Comment any questions about this or anything else in the agricultural field and I will do my best to answer any questions :)
The new 8800 has arrived (pre-series!)
The second 8800 has arrived!! This harvest we will be running 2 new 8800 claas combines pre-series models on tracks. Last year I operated our JD S790 and I am very excited to be operating the 8800 this year. We have always had claas combines on the farm (our last one being a 780), and I will have lots to learn from all the new features of these pre-series models.
How To: Make Hay!!
30C and wind = perfect hay weather. Third time out getting some more hay done! Forecast looked perfect and it actually stayed that way somehow, making for some excellent hay. This particular field was cut and baled within 3 days. This is the only field where we make square bales and all the rest are made into round bales. Hope you enjoy the video!
Mid July Farm UPDATE!
What is happening on the farm right now actually? Well here you go! Grain farmers, contrary to popular belief, do not relax after planting season is done (people ask me this all the time believe it or not). It has been very tough this entire season to get out with the sprayer, but we are mostly on our timeline. Weather has been not the best for the sprayer, but the crops are looking awesome!! W...
Delivering some Wheat!

Just another day delivering some product! Have to get the bins empty for harvest! Comment what kind of videos you would be interested in seeing!!
Checking out some Crops!
Short little crop scouting done on Friday to get an idea on how the fields are looking like now after just getting LOTS of rain. 50mm a couple days before this and 10mm the night before on Thursday. Crops are looking good! Hoping the Faba beans will recover well since they barely had any rain when they were first growing. They are very susceptible for lack of moisture. (Last year they were our ...

Why have u Stopped uploading??
Social media grown wider
thank you for this video
How did that field turn out? Are you still going to use the planter for peas in the future?
Why MacDon fronts and no CLAAS fronts?
Why MacDon fronts and no CLAAS fronts?
:D Have a nice day und liebe Grüße aus Deutschland :)
That looks awesome. Idk know why your don't have Ike 500000 subs.
Superb. I'm from Tamil Nadu, India.
Im ve been impatiently waiting for so new videos and you tube got me again with not selecting all notifications! Lol, im glad that you we able to get some video out on here, i love your IG and would love tosee some longer, more in depth videos:)
Do you have a class A cdL or how does that work in CA
looks like an awesome barn you get your own space cool, project not sure hunting trailer wow lol did you flip the light switch up to turn off 😮 haha awesome sunset ✌️
That’s awesome multi million dollar farming for sure that Little boat don’t get much use I bet lol did your family gain all that in 30 years coming from Germany
how big is your farm?
Thank you for sharing this, and I also thank you for being a farmer, bless you and keep up the good work.👍👍
From another German living in Canada (albeit the other side of the country): nice channel. Will definitely be following it!
Glad to see a new video.
Awesome setup, hope planting season goes good for you guys, stay safe, and that everything goes well throughout the season.👍
@@thatfemalefarmer Your welcome.👍
Very very great 👍👍👍👍👍
Beautiful hay crop good luck baling your hay crops
thanks! Hay Season will be back in July :)
Great video
Thanks for the video How many acres per hour can it do?
Not a fan of Volvo’s but they are cheap. Don’t you have a grain vac?
Hey love the video. Huge Volvo fan here In Australia so disappointed when I heard it broke down ( they break down??) 😂 keep up the great work
Thank-you! I think we have a couple lemons here because they have broke down a couple times here unfortunately lol
Very informative, thanks for sharing !
Nice looking tractor
thought so too thankyou
New shop is looking nice
Great video Melanie
Glad you liked it , thanks for watching!!
You're beautiful
I would still love to see a more indepth review / comparison between the claas and JD combines please 🙏.
That new shop will be so nice when finished,
Watch that is almost like watch them in the UK seeing the spectacular hedgerows surrounding the fields rather than just wide open flat plains like in some US and EU harvest videos! Hope you like the new 8800, we find Claas are far superior for thrashing and minimal loss over the back compared to other brands we've had, would love to know your views on it.
Nice machine congratulations👍
@@thatfemalefarmer no problem👍
Hi Melanie, wow super nice shop you are going to have! Was that a General wood lathe? If so very nice equipment for turning. Looking forward to seeing everything finished!
A spectacular video, really well done. Beautiful part of western Canada as well.
Just found your channel, it showed up on my home screen. I have already liked, subscribed and "rang the bell". My guess would be a seed cleaner, or possibly a feed grinder.
Wheres the fendt 🤔
Nice new John Deere! My guess is a seed cleaner ?
Great video, love the tractor can’t wait to see it in action.
You and me both!
incredible videography. quick question: are the swaths left in the field and combined again? or was that another crop? this may be a stupid question but where im from ive never seen these swath harvesting headers being used im curious as to what benefit they offer
thankyou! I always welcome questions! the swaths are for straw, so the combines leave it as swaths, and then you come back and bale it with a tractor+baler setup :)
@@thatfemalefarmer I think they was talking about where you've swaths the crop first and using the pick up headers
@@thatfemalefarmer yes where you are using the pickup header rather than the normal on at the 2:20 mark in the video
Great video, love the drone shots and thanks for sharing with us.
So incredible to see the distance that farm electronics have come...and the resolution improvements. Love your vids...keep it up.
Found your channel recently and look forward to seeing what else 2023 has to offer:)
A lot of obstacles on your trip. Nice Tedder though
Hi, will you be my friend
Why not the 8900 ?
More and more claas in USA?
