This is an unedited run in the cranky triangled chop out the back. Not very exciting but hope it shows the water is not very smooth. Same day as last video. Hope you enjoy this one too.

So I've had another windsurf in 2018 already. Yay. That's one more than last year! Tried out an all new freeride setup instead of the usual slalom kit. Was different and will take some more fine tuning. Easy to use though. Great to be back on the water. Thanks for watching.

This was my first windsurf in 12 months. It's one run across and back with no editing. Bit boring but gives some vibe for the day. Over 32 knots peak and 20 gybe was a good day on the water. Hope to be back sooner. Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching.

Nice Windsurf at Victoria Point - Brisbane QLD Australia. Went out with Neilpryde EVO5 6.4m on JP Freestyle Wave 93L.. Only managed 29 knots as the stock fin kept letting go on every run over 26 knots. Had a fun day regardless. Hope you enjoy.

Rigged way too small expecting more from the day so ended up dredging for more then an hour on the small kit. This is about my one and only run to test out the new board. Nothing special on the video due to lack of wind. Hope you like it none the less.

Was a very gusty day with some lulls at 12-15 knots and bullets up to 30 knots on my wind gauge. I ended up on my smallest sail but was underdone. Spent a while waiting for the tide to drop to find some flatter water but all I found was the bottom resulting in a stack at 28 knots and a sore foot from it. Anyway hope you enjoy the footage as I bought a new helmet to reduce bouncy vision.

Nice Windsurf at Victoria Point - Brisbane QLD Australia. Went out with Neilpryde EVO5 7.0m on JP Slalom IX 66 (102L). Was underpowered as wind kept fading so nothing powered up. Also rather rough out the back with cranky triangles for chop which made it rather demanding for speed. Anyway it was good training. Hope you enjoy.

Used the old Bump and Jump gear as it was an average of 24knots gusting to 30knots. Still managed a new PB on the GPS Team Challenge for the Moreton Bay Mob on such old gear in rough water. As the tide dropped and it became very shallow the water flattened out in the middle. This was where I found my peak speed for the day. Hope you enjoy as much as I did on the day.

Sorry it's a long video from Sandgate, North Brisbane QLD Australia. Was the last round of the Freerace QLD Series (Jetty to Jetty). Went out with Neilpryde EVO5 6.4m on JP Slalom X 59 (91L) but was overpowered in the very gust offshore conditions. Some of the gusts were recorded to 37knots. Thanks to the Freerace QLD organisers, and Surf Connect for putting on the event. Hope you enjoy.

Second windsurf at Lake Cootharaba, Sunshine Coast QLD Australia. Was the 5th round of the Freerace QLD Series. Went out with Neilpryde EVO5 6.4m on JP Slalom VIII 59 (96L) but was mostly underpowered. Found some big holes in the wind too. Had a fun day regardless and thanks to the Freerace QLD organisers, Windwanderers Club and Andy from Windsurfing Gear for putting on the event. Hope you enjoy.

First windsurf at Lake Cootharaba, Sunshine Coast QLD Australia. Was the 4th round of the Freerace QLD Series. Went out with Neilpryde EVO5 7.0m on JP Slalom VIII 59 (96L) in fading conditions. Spent the hour struggling to plane. Had a fun day regardless and thanks to the Freerace QLD organisers and Windwanderers Club for putting on the event. The video is about my only planning run all day.

Quick windsurf at Trial Bay, South West Rocks, on the Mid/North Coast of NSW Australia before a storm came over. It's my first time back on the water in over 10 weeks. First windsurf at Bribie Island, Woorim Beach, QLD Australia. Was the second round of the QLD Freerace Series. Got the 2017 pro II 106. Love it... Fast and very responsive and still comfortable to ride..
Nice video! I’m looking to get the same exact board, but can’t find any professional reviews. How do you like it? How many knots is the wind in this video? I’m 70kg, would it work as a light wind board (12-18knots) with my 7.5-6.5 sails? Thanks, Pavel
Thanks Pavel. It wasn't super windy maxing at about 15knots in the gusts. I'm only slightly heavier as well to give you a good idea but wouldn't use it around 12knots unless you have 1 board for everything. I'm currently selling it however as I have too much gear. It's a great board however so good luck.

Nice waterstart - rarely seen on video. This water looks very much like Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana where i sail - saying that this looks like some nasty chop. Not like the nice ocean swells, but 10-15 foot deep lake water nasty chop...can be quite challenging to maintain speed and balance.
HI That was a nice video. I loved seeing the old equipment still in use! I used to own the f2 axxis and about a dozen vx/vx2 that i used/destroyed over the years. You do what most recreational sailors do, slalom back and forth. It is a blast!
Yeah, I used to have this board too. Really enjoyed it. Small, sprightly and always put a smile on my face. Felt like it really flew over the water with little drag but also very compliant.
Classic old board. I still have my old F2 Axxis 258!
