Yes it does create a defect for the trout spawning and the salmon mostly as well.. but the salmon are the only thing to worry about because they are the only natural fish species that migrates here. Trout were introduced in the early 1800s from British Columbia so the millions of stalkies we stalk each year in both lake erie and ontario will help the population out and taking one or two fish home now I wont feel quilty cuz its food on my plate. go to my page if you want to see real steelheads!!!

easy im not attacking the fish i am a fisher and a conserv for these fish we need more wild ones to survive and spawn so that people like me and you and our kids will have them to fish they are an endangerd specis ya no at least real steelhead the ones that come back from the ocean

is it do you fish wild steelhead or rainbow trout out of lakes i just no there spawn rate is down do to dams and other man made obsticles this is not my opinion its department of fish and wildlife facts

i now how high they can jump i live and fish in the steelhead capitol of the world my point is im tired of seeing these beatiful fish half to fight so hard to make it past our man made crap and yes they have a low spawn rate due to these kind of obstacles
