Looking through the videos, do you think this deck is more midrange than control, when you compare them to decks like mono white control/tokens?

I think that explaining your thought process and reasoning can definitely help people think about what is going on, and sort of predicting what could happen on later turns. Sort of like chess, seeing what the optimal plays are and punishing the unoptimal is something that separates those who do not do puzzles. In MTG the chess puzzles are heretics and those are invaluable for those who just didn't know.

I love sky noodle, by I don't see anything of value for him in this deck, aside from the omens. I think you'd be better with standart 60 card deck like this. Anyhow - it was great to see Yorion and Trawler again, much obliged!) Also if you want to brew in Explorer would love to see your take on sultai control (NOT an emergence ultimatum "control"). If it sounds interesting for you of course.

So satisfying to see that archfiend kill them x_x been getting matched up with that deck all day in standard, it seems to have been making quite the splash over the past few days. My janky rakdos thief deck was just getting used to the meta and dealing with it, now I gotta change up my removal again to deal with it lol. Great games!

Idk how I feel about this explorer anthology. Explorer as it is right now just feels good. Like what historic was before it got all jumbled up and every anthology boosted the meta power level.

I'm excited for foundations! My sibling just started playing magic, and I'm looking forward to the Jumpstart packs! The Universe Beyond stuff I'm not really worried about. I'm sure it will be strange to be killing Spider Man with my 1/1 tinybones with deathtouch, but hey, he shouldn't have swung into magic I guess.The thing that bothers me the most is how mismatched the theming is... superheroes in a generic magic the gathering set would probably seem pretty strange, and now if other IPs can just get into magic, there's not going to be as much consideration for the 'flavor' of magic, and it'll be more whatever is paying to cross-advertise (or however the financials work out, maybe hasbro is paying other companies to use their IPs, not sure. ). so, excited for foundations, I'm holding back judgement for universes beyond until I see the cards. I know there will be lots of heroes in the spider man set, but I'm wondering what they're going to do for the 'bulk' of the set, commons and uncommons. I think it'll be kind of annoying if every single card has a picture of spider man or whatever, but how are they going to keep up the tribal synergies with creature types? I have mixed feelings about it, but I'm willing to give them a chance. lol that first game v the aggro deck... red is running out of gas in this meta... or they're a bad pilot. Either way, hilarious seeing them get slammed. lmao "You got this, you just gotta get the creatures... or not..." that made me laugh so hard as PanchoMan fails to use their ghost vacuums effectively lol. Man, that first game v panchoman went so long, and the second went so quick. makes you realize how much luck is involved in magic sometimes!

That first match was so totally controlled. My god, that must have been frustrating for them, lmao. It was a great game though. The second game, jeez. So interesting, a blue control but with a few giant beaters. The hexproof sphinx coming down and then just having so much protection. Hexproof, then if you use a sweeper you can defend it with counter spells. Never seen it before! Neat deck, tough matchup!

I think in this meta threats are almost ubiquitously stronger than answers. You need a few answers to stop opponent threats, but having a deck that’s all answers doesn’t work as a deck type any more in standard. A control deck needs its own threats to be competitive at this point.

When it worked, it worked well! from not a lot on the board to lethal in half a turn is pretty dang nice. Tough matchup with the aggro decks, but handled itself pretty well! Looking forward to seeing this deck level up with foundations.

Perhaps add green to have access to heaped harvest and cornucopia. Consider that gnome that is 1 W mana and dusk rose reliquary.
