I just found out that he grew up poor in a slum, was introduced to kuchipudi by a dance workshop done in the slum , did a business degree for his worried parents who wanted a stable future for him and now is a full time dancer and dance teacher .

Hello, I’m doing a research work for university about authenticity and I chose dance as an example. As soon as I saw this it spoke to me (as a former dancer myself). Could anyone help me by explaining the cultural or religious depth of this dance, the meaning behind it. I would love to know its roots as a way to pay a honourable tribute to it in my work.
