The fact is that Korra's PTSD following her mercury poisoning isn't even the worst thing that's happened to her. She's literally had her spirit ripped out of her and destroyed, and yet she didn't get PTSD then 🤨.

After watching your video and reading most of these comments, I would like to say just how ironic it is. “Korra is an overrated disaster of a show” and the only overrated disaster is this 40 minute long waste of time

Season 1 and 2 are trash or mid 3 and 4 are the best and korra changes a lot through the seasons in 4 season korra changes a lot and idk but in my opinion I like korra more (the show) but I recognize that aang is better than korra and korra is a bad avatar but I don't think it's the worst

I respect the dedication to making a 19 minute video about this subject, and I certainly agree about some points. But I find it laughable that you mention almost nothing good about the game to make it sound worse. Not to mention that Mario is simply just fun to play as, it's super satisfying to exploit the movement to skip small segments or just extend your jumps to crazy degrees. But whatever. What's my main argument with this comment, why did I put it down here? "Absurdly Overrated" isn't just this game. It's the entire series. I've been working on a pretty in-depth retrospective on the mainline Super Mario games for a while now, and out of every game I talked about in the video (19 games to be specific), none of them stood out as "One of the best games of all time". Not that I don't like Mario, it's one of my favourite franchises, but almost every time I reached a super highly regarded game (entire 3D series except 3D Land & Galaxy 2) I ended up being disappointed. Not even that I didn't like any of them, but some of them (Galaxy 2, 3D Land, 3D World, Odyssey) weren't the absolutely fantastic games I was expecting, just "great" and nothing more. I'd never consider any of the games in the series to be a top 100 video game or whatever. If anything, a lot of the games that were SUPER highly regarded by fans and critics ended up being near the bottom of my ranking. 64, Galaxy and especially Sunshine were games I kinda hated by the end of them. They had good qualities for sure, but overall I did not like playing them at all. I'll explain my reasoning when I get to that review in the retrospective, but you can ask me my opinion on a specific game in the replies if you want.

They made Korra only for the 📦ing

This review pretty much nails it, it's the exact same thing I've been saying for the past 4 years. It's a boring show about literally nothing, with cardboard characters, tedious videogame fetch quests and a pseudo overarching plotline that is just an excuse to defend the Sequel trilogy. Season 1 was utterly boring and directionless. Season 2 was a glorified Disney+ ad full of pointless cameos, that ultimately lead to a bunch of even worse shows (plus a cancelled one, because Disney had to go full tistic over Gina Carano). And finally Season 3 was an even more directionless bunch of goofy hijinks and wrapping things up in the dumbest, most unsatisfying way possible. I particularly HATE how Mandalorians are portrayed like a cult, makes me cheer on the Empire for driving them to extinction. Hate how it tries to "redeem" the insufferable former terrorist Bo Katan. Hate how it's such an obvious excuse to set up the First Order and Palpatine's return. The only reasons it was so praised are because of novelty, due to being the first live action Star Wars show ever made. Because it came out right after The Rise of Skywalker. And because they played the nostalgia bait card for the entirety of Season 2 to make people seal clap. That is, until Season 3 finally came crushing down.

Complaining about the moons being everywhere only would be valid critisism if the game was too short because of it. The game takes 12 to 15 hours to beat as it is, with amazing moments happening every few minutes. I would compare this type of critisism to someone complaing about a great movie, because they don't like that the characters have normal conversations in between the epic action scenes

The only part i really enjoyed is cascade kingdom's waterfall area

tbh korra is a pretty realistic serie because (not tryna be sexist) but a lot of (not all) girls are controlled by their hormones and we can't blame them for this because it's human but thats why korra rarely thinks about stuff and acts on her feelings instead of thinking about whats the best option. I've had a lot of girlfriends and all of them were a little like korra but yeah everything else in korra is shit anyway so this realism cant make it good.

I can see this video is a controversial one. But i agree with everything u said. I felt this way from the beginning but was just called a "hater" or a "contrarian".

I watched the first episode and was done with it. Nothing I hate more than characters sounding like refined dialogue devices instead of real people.

I consider The Legend of Korra to be bad Avatar fan-fiction.

I always went into korra wanting to like it and I liked most of Season one but overall I ended up really disliking the whole show especially after the ending since every season was so disconnected I didn't really give a damn about her story cause everything felt like a barrage of random nonsense overall made it hard to care about the ending every season feels pointless

As far as I’m concerned, Korra is not canon.

My problem with this video is that you can not like a game, but to say that everyone who likes this game has been brainwashed into doing so is ridiculous. Odyssey is flawed sure, but if it is nominated for Game of the Year then it is objectively a good game. This video can be boiled down to "I dont like it so you can't like it."

I just beat the game and I completely agree!! It's very shallow. There were some fun moments but not anything close to breath of the wild.

It's amazing to me, just watching these videos and reading the comments, how people will still defend Korra and her terrible actions, plus the show in general just retconning damn near everything, lol.

A lot of people didn't like BDSP very much, but IMO it's one of the better Pokémon games they've released lately because once you reached the Elite Four, the kid's gloves came _right_ off. It stopped being a effortless slog, and the battles were actually quite challenging. You could tell the movesets for the Elite Four, Champion, and Gym rematches were made by hardcore fans who played competitive. It doesn't justify the insane grind to make competitive teams, but at least there _was_ an in-game reason to make them and engage with the systems.

My only problem with the "water benders can make ice" argument is fact that alot of them can do it and it's really common. Like kinda immediately in ATLA they're doing it. Lava bending isn't shown to be so common especiallyin the orginal series. I wish TLoK explained it more like how Metal bending was done. Just feels like the writers threw it in there "because it was kool" and it is kool, but idk just feels kinda lazy.

not to mention aang being a bad/absent father for 2 of his kids just because they re not air benders, aang never showed any sign of being like that, we have to assume he become more idiotic and evil as he grow up

I liked it man,sure season 1 was poopy💩 but stay with me she got her bending back from Aang cause he's the 1st Avatar to learn spirit and chakra bending, y'all remember monk guy telling bro about it as a 62 yro man I'm sure he's a pro by then so it's just luck on her side really and her never going or actually learning to control the avatar stage like Aang could do it automatically, it's basically like take it bro, you never bothered me,but she grew in her own way,she was a prodigy in bending,never needed help like Aang but was mentally and spiritually lacking,we can admite Korra's more annoying and immature than a 12 yro boy as a 16-20 yro young woman and had PTSD,immobilesed stuff that would mentally crash her, which would not be a problem for a pacifist as Aang bro didn't even care about his parents fr,he just fw Giatzu and she solved her problems such as Aang but for the 1st time she's the one who left without a big fail and solved her past lifes biggest distress aswell,I didn't fw it the 1st half but I understood that times change and alot cause Aang locked in fr after the Ozai stuff and had Zuko's help so they have way more advanced technology by season 4 but more bums she's lost her past lives and honestly she might be the worst person to get advice from but that's one the things, people rarely got advice from Kyoshi and Kuruk,your past life might be the one who's easier to talk to but further generations can be summoned but she went from a Kyoshi(prodigy)+Kuruk(immature) to a less impulsive and annoying mf that's how my brain possessed Korra wasn't such a massive let down in the end but it started rocky couldn't make it through the 6th ep for about a month or so

Okay but the fact that the equalists are completely correct in the fact that Benders have a distinct advantage in any position within the city. They could be a beat cop, a criminal, a corporate stooge, or champions of an arena, and either their position there is predicated on their bending, or clearly a distinct advantage over regular citizens. When Korra first hears about people suffering under constant oppression of basically the ruling class she responds with "Well its the coolest shit in the world". Just a reminder, Tenzin only has political power due to being the only airbender besides the avatar and his children and his vote and opinion in general is significantly more valuable than legitimately anyone else in the show in terms of raw political power besides literal fascists despots and enigmatic specters of evil incarnated in man to reign over eons of darkness. Amon had a real good fucking point is all I'm sayin'.

I think the reason Korra is so popular is because there’s a massive lack of high quality western action adventure animation in this style. The only western media in this genre is super hero shows and movies.

bro how is it overrated? its a little underrated imo because people dont really take into consideration how good the villains are in this show compared to atla (in atla there's like 3 good villains and 2 really good ones but they also dont shake up the world so badly compared to people like amon)

korra haters are usually people who focus on 1-2 flaws with the show and then ignore everything great about it. comparing korra to any other cartoon it is a good show with good fights good emotional scenes good world building and great characters with complex issues. both atal and legend of korra are good shows. liking one over the other is a preference and is objectively valid because bot excell at different things. korra has more adult issues so for someone like me i like it more for that but atla isn't necessarily worse or better because it focuses on other areas. saying it is overrated when haf the fandom hates on it for basically no reason is an insane take and saying that either means your a tunnel visioning gerbal or you have no show or emotional literacy. not liking something doesn't make it terribly written and definitely doesn't mean its overatted

Tbf all I really like about it are some of the really, really good fights. But the writing is so bad, especially in season 2.

I stopped watching this show before the end of season 1. As soon as they started focusing too much on Korras love triangle or square or whatever. I knew right then n there that it was a waste of time.

The biggest issue is how the world just forgave the fire nation, for A HUNDRED YEARS of an unnecessary war. LOK could have been the avatar trying to fix the damage the fire nation caused to the balance of the world, but the writers were trying so hard to distinguish LOK from ATLA they didnt think eniugh to make it an actual sequel.

I think the difference between ATLA and TLOK boils down to a well written, complex and mature show compared to a fanfiction only made to be a cash grab and a sad attempt to develop the previous show.

legend of korra is nowhere near overrated, its being barked at in every comment section, its underrated.

LoK was made too hard as the anti-ATLA - especially Korra to Aang. Aang was kind, patient, always sought and took advice, and only started with one element and had to learn the rest over seasons. Korra was rude, short tempered, never took advice even when it should be obviousl she should, and started knowing 3 elements like it was nothing while (after struggling/never bending for a few eps) instantly learns Air.
