I use to work for a garbage company. I remember one morning just getting to work and in the “yard” as we called it one of the front loader trucks was just sitting there burning up. Idk what caused it but the entire truck burned up. It was a sight to see I tell you.

Perkins grabbers are far better to work with on a 2 man rear loader than the euro tippers. The one month working at North Central I hated trying to mount an EG on a euro tipper. The only pro l'd give em is you're able to dump the can on any side, allowing you to distribute trash all over the hopper instead of just the middle, then you have to keep on packing. Great video, it's nice to see someone is showcasing different routes and trucks in the WLA yard, maybe soon some other programs that LA runs too.

Enjoyed the entire thing though. Been a while since we’ve seen a video like this, so props to you for making this. I do miss the euro comb type tippers these trucks had, but these Perkins grabbers are pretty sweet too. You can actually manually adjust the speed on the Perkins grabbers and I’ve learned a couple tricks on them myself. North Central is the only yard left with those old tippers on the Petes. Nice to see 046 as well, that one is an East Valley transfer and I think is in better condition than some of the other WLA Octos. Great stuff, keep it going.
