MAE HONG SORN day 005-006
Day 5
We went to Wat Phra That Mae Yen and challenged ourselves by climbing 300 steps. The view of Pai is amazing from everywhere! Afterward, we visited Pai Hot Springs, where you can choose from pools at 34°C, 35°C, or 36°C. There's also an 80°C pool where people boil eggs.
We had lunch at Coffee in Love, a popular spot for the last 10 years. The view is still stunning, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We visited Wat Nam Hu for good luck, then headed to the Sai Ngam Hot Spring, but the water wasn’t hot, which left us wondering why.
For dinner, we ate at Pai Village Boutique Resort & Farm on Pai Walking Street. It's owned by the same people who run our hostel, FarmStay@Pai, so there’s a shuttle service between the two places, and we got a discount.
Day 6
It was supposed to be a quick and easy drive from Pai to Chiang Mai Airport, but we decided to be adventurous and drove back to Mae Hong Son, which took the whole day! We had more time to chat with our driver and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Day 1: We flew from Bangkok to Mae Hong Son, a 3-hour journey with a stop in Lampang, via Bangkok Airways. The cost was 6,000-7,000 baht.
