@@FleaMarketFantasy I remember reading a novel about Superman's lost years as a young man. He was trying to find himself and left home, rambling around like David Carradine's character in Kung Fu. I don't recall the title, but I thought he played for the minors for a bit in that book. Obviously, the author of that book did not read this comic.

In a remarkable redemption arc, Lex uses his intellect to fight crime and create a safer world, rendering Superman’s role nearly irrelevant. This infuriates Superman, who now finds himself sidelined from both crime-fighting and Lois Lane's bedroom. When Lois interviews the newly transformed Lex for the newspaper, she falls in love with him, driving Superman mad with jealousy.
