I really miss the gameplay of oldgen, but I don't think it's possible to argue that Myizaki has always known how to lay down some atmosphere, and how to make you feel like you just did something impossible.
Brought a ps3 for this definitely worth it

Take out the music and it feels like some sort of mecha horror
If you think about it, Armored Core can be really seen as an horror with all the fucked up stuff in the story.

dude I remember the first time I beat this game, I was sitting in front of screen with rolling credits thinking like "is this it? WTF it was?". This colour palette, these super weird dialogues, the whole game was weird af. Then I went to bed and couldn't stop thinking about it, pondering on each detail I've remembered, its ost started to play in my mind... Then I woke up and realized I fell in love with this game during that night.
Unpopular opinion - AC4 is better than FA simply because of its aesthetics and atmosphere.

Gundam never was able to pull off what armored core had always been doing that's why I started playing armored core and stopped trying with any Gundam games because they all sucked ass and now instead of getting a Gundam game that played like an armored core game I got an armored core game that played like a Gundam game ..... 11 goddamn years I waited for no reason

A difference in sensibilities. AC6 was treated like a playable movie. Old AC was playable mecha anime. Soundtracks shifted accordingly.
Kota wanted to go with something more sci-fi while making the AC6 OST, since he watched bladerunner a few years ago, he mentioned he wanted to try out those synths and that definitively was applied back when the project was on development, the game brings much more of a futuristic and sci-fi thematic than the old games too, so that explains why the OST is like that, but if you want to play AC6 with cool songs like the oldgen ones you can either download a mod that puts songs from other entries in the franchise on certain missions or just put your playlist in the background while playing the game

This mission feels iconic to me, even with the horrible localization butchering some key details like the fact that the pilot of the 00-Aretha (the boss of this mission) is piloted by none other than Joshua O'Brien. (The pilot of White Glint in this game, and was blackmailed into attacking Anatolia by one of the corporations)
It's exactly what made this mission and the dialogue so painful to go through, especially if you had Joshua show up to help you a lot in earlier missions. He was one of the only people you could call a friend. Even the music matches the tone. (SPOILER below just in case the video uploader is reading this and has not played Armored Core: For Answer yet) It broke me to meet our 4 self in FA and find out we continued the name White Glint and made an AC themed after Joshua's.

You're not playing this mission in the hard mode, where after you defeat Joshua you need to defeat another Next that is sent to clean up the mess after one side wins and is exhausted from the fight.
No, it was my first time playing ac4 , but I played it in hard mode after to achieve 100% achievement

@@cousinpizza6958 I wanted to make a video of my saves of Armored Core, I have completed every game with 100% till Armored Core For Answer but I deleted my save files by mistake, I formatted my computer and I forgot about my saves :( I'm replaying every game again to make the video but now with AC5 and ACV, I have many funny clips of my journey

Algorithm title
I love seeing peoples recordings of this mission. The music and visuals really make it special and memorable. I really love how 4 looks, it's got that ethereal, dreamy Demon's Souls look. The track that plays during this has an awesome drum bit that transitions into machinegun sounds. And the 00-Aretha that Joshua pilots is such a badass design with its incredibly fast and flashy quick boost. The presentation is just 10/10. That said, I think white glint should've been a teammate in more missions-- I know that in one of the hardmode missions if you're at low hp, Joshua will come in as backup, but I was really hoping for more from this whole former buddy turned enemy thing. That kind of story is very well done in ace combat and other armored core entries though, so I'm not entirely upset. I just think ac4 having a more fleshed out relationship w/ Joshua would've been perfect.

The song for this mission is so good! This mission was so hard as a kid, but just recently played it will my aaliyah where I put all my specs into movement and dash and was dancing around him the whole time,

gen 4 armored core is something extremely special that i hold closer and closer to my heart as time goes on :) the soundtrack especially is out of this earth

The soundtracks from ACFA literally became my daily playlists because they are all so good and special!
@@SHAHNMONO I think that's due to ho different it is from the usual stuff that we hear. it's it's own style, it dosen't make sense at first, but then you don't really care, there's a vibe to it that breathes an alien atmosphere you won't find anywhere else, I don't know anyone that uses this style.
