In the middle of the rainy season, we finally had a sunny day after having to reschedule due to rain. It was a very summery day, and we enjoyed a refreshing splash in Lake Shoji with stunning views! After lunch at a local restaurant, we went for a walk in Aokigahara forest.
We licked ice cream at the popular spot "Iyashi-no-sato" and enjoyed the old-style houses. The lavender fields in full bloom at Oishi Park were beautifully lit by the evening sun. We had sushi for dinner and, on our way back on the highway, we happened to see fireworks.
It was a perfect day!

These guys are full on! Never stop. Left the hotel in Tokyo, heading to Mt Fuji, enjoy the view and lots of photos and yummy Wagyu steak. A couple from Europe came to Japan for their honeymoon and had a trip to Mt Fuji area. They went to Lakes Sai and Lake Kawaguichi, not only the lakes, but into the deep Aokigahara forest too. We had a wonderful Australian family join us for a two-week trip. We started in Tokyo, then visited Nagoya, Hida Takayama, Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Nara... Every day was fantastic, even though a typhoon disrupted our plans in the middle of the schedule.
