you need the datacron pictured, 3rd level skill isn't important. a faster CAT all but guarantees win. if your CAT is slower you have to hope their CAT takes out anyone but your CAT. you then take out padme with your CAT, then target their CAT and hit auto. Malgus Proving Grounds - No GL

tough fight, lots of RNG restarts. twice i had full team vs solo Malgus so 3 stars are possible, tried with gmy, ahsoka, c3p0 all worked well at times. TAKE NOTE: deathmark starts on DR (he does damage first), you MUST pass deathmark to anyone BUT malgus. when the toon with deathmark is killed, the next opponent that does damage gets deathmark. this is quite hard to time, if it looks like malgu...
GMK tier 1 bug: you lose lightside tokens AND GMK shards. NO REFUNDS .

Tier 1 of GMK Journey event has been bugged for a year and half. customer service simply said "Unfortunately, we will be unable to refund any Light Side tickets used. We would suggest you to check out the given link for troubleshooting purpose : help.ea.com/en/help/mobile/troubleshooting-steps-for-android/" you will lose light side shards as the game crashes and NOT get any GMK shards in return...

i did same lineup, switched revan for malak. it was r5 padme, anakin, cat. r7 malak and r8 gk. took around 100 attempts to win and it was at 3 stars
What are your mods looking like? Also, can you tell the strategy for this battle?
TBH you have perfect RNG here. My characters are actually slightly better but, this is just pretty much 1 in a million shot. Tried it till I got bored with no success.
people need to click on help in game and complain about this event. even though i have done it a few times, it takes hundreds of resets. this not only blocks anyone w/o a GL from obtaining malgus, but we cannot work toward leviathan . if the whiney whales didn't already have malgus and/or GLs, they would be crying like they did over leviathan. WTF!?!?!?. CG as always only listens to content prioviders and whales. FUCK THEM!! i am quitting this game after all these years becvause of this BULL SHIT!! where is the fun in this game anymore?
how consistent is this?
its not consistent at all. requires a lot of restarts, but you learn when to restart and when to give it a go after opening round and maybe a round or 2 in. i do it every time proving comes around, but i won't waste crystals refreshing because one time it took me about 3 hours to win. the worst thing is trying to get CAT's big bang charged. most of the time malgus will start picking off my team while i await. i often get them down to just malgus vs my full team, but again, if you can't get CAT's force leap off you won't win.
How were the mods looking like?
my mods are fairly decent, nothing special cept for CAT... and her speed really didnt matter at all here

it's time to think again about whether investing years of your time and money into a game that profits on their bad programming. EA has known about this issue since GMK was released (18+ months). the game crashes ,mid fight. even though this is a well documented issue (mods move posts referencing this to a dead folder). EA provides no warning, provides no solution... just lets you spend hard earned $$$$$ on the event. this my friends is the very definition of fraud
