How to repair the front headshock ? My friend has this exact same model and the headshock is stuck !
Would it be possible, for example, to completely remove the damping/suspension and the bellows on this particular Fatty fork? Should the headset then be replaced, if so, how? Or could the 5-6-7 cm excess length of the headset be shortened? I am aware of the resulting slight rotation of the geometry and reduction in ground clearance under the bottom bracket, which will be taken away shortly. The goal is a Fatty without damping and without the unnecessary distance to the frame. A short video would be fantastic, there are quite a few who would like something like this :) Thank you very much.
Just a dream. I still own the F2000 Red with Grip Shift. Hutchinson Python would be my choice on this one, of course the black/yellow version :)

I Enrico, model seems to be "offroad" but it's a NOS stock of 2 pairs I baught few years ago I do not have more information about it...
Hi there. I really need some help! I own a 2000 Jekyll 900SL (an 2000 F700 also) & i love them. Sadly, last weekend while i was ridding, I Lost the Pivot Nut of the swingarm. Do you know where can i buy a replacement of the nut or the complete pivot? I hope you can help me, thanks. (Nice job on both cannondale's)

@@benjaminsylva I sold my f700 and scalpel because both fatty died, but I still could not find new dampers, one fatty wiped shaft and started to leak oil, I bought it to replace the dlr80, but its previous owner tried to fix it the same way scratched the whole damper. I just assembling a Chinese carbon full suspension, due to the fact that finding a fatty in good condition is almost impossible, and finding a service kit is even more difficult to me.
@@NitroCyclistHI, Here In France there is a factory called " doc headshock" they are used to fix/rebuild cannondale fork. From now, I send them 6 forks (DLR80, lefty etc...), each time they were able to fix them for a price between 100/280 euros. Also, they were even able to make the revision of a rear shock absorber from a Raven 1.

What kind of upgrades did you to that fork? It's definitely not what came with the frame😬
Ah ah ! The external fork is a fatty super but inside it's a damper from a 2006/2008 fatty...same appearance but brand new damper inside. "Fast suspension" ( France ) didi it for me in 2018.

@@alpinecyclery2906 Because Cannondale abandoned it. My bag is blown. I’m replacing with rock shox. My bike is F1000 and I’ve owned it 22 years.
@@juketreks2192 Ah ok ! for my part there is a HEadshock center in France and I can fix all my fatty's there, for exemple the one of the video is compltely new ( inside ! )
@@alpinecyclery2906 That is ironic. Cannondale touts itself for Made in USA and yet only place I’ve heard of servicing the Head Shok is in France. I bought my first Cannondale in 1986 in Nuremberg Germany while serving in US Army. I raced in the Clydesdale class on a Cannondale. I rode a T700 from Seattle WA to Washington DC. And I own two bikes both Cannondale. But the head shok is out and the Judy is in for replacement.

I'm sorry but I've found them on second hand market, they are new old stock, but there is actually no tires manufacturer who makes yellow and black tires...

Cannondale was on it's game in the 90's! Loved what they made in Bedford PA!
I visited that factory several times. Nice folks that worked there too. My first Cannondale was the F700 but that shock fork always was a problem. Moved on to Scalpels with Lefty Forks after that. Until they Closed. Then I quit buying Cannondales after that.

I have the same bike and built it with a mix of modern and old as well. I changed the tires, made it a 1x with an 11 speed XT cassette, guide breaks new stem and handlebars but kept some of the original Coda components like the hubs and cranks. That bike is so light and snappy. The smooth welds make the frame look like a carbon bike!!
Hi, Jonathan thanks for this sharing, American welding are perfect ! The f700 with 1x11 is very efficient and clearly lighter, I think the mix between new/old part was a good idea, this bike is unbreakable, it’s a bike for life, i ride thousand a thousand kilometers with it and it’s now modern and ready to ride thousand more. Have a 2013 F26 frame with lefty carbon fork and hands down she is the best. XTR 985 30/44 crankset with Chris King R45D 11 speed rear hub with 11/25 1170 cassette and she is one fast rocket ship.
