it didn't look hard at first but then came the death highlight reel.
The fact you didn't use Yoko, who can spam Megidolaon with Dekaja and Debilitate. As well as running energy drain effectively for self-sustain against Satan, the longest war of attrition in this game is crazy.
I remember spending 20 attemps into having the perfect setup for the most FOUL combo Demi-Fiend has seen since Mot. I went and Parasele Blur'd his ass 7 times with impalers glory and omagatoki: charge. he couldn't even pull the chaotic will out of his a$$ nor the mediaharam, it was GLORIOUS 100 to 0 in a single turn
You can use the old cheese method too, but Konohana Sakuya, and Beelzebub have excellent Synergy in this game. So long as your flex demon doesn't violate his innate skill's rule, Beelzebub is the best Debilitate bot in the game. And Sakuya's skill giving back MP helps IMMENSELY. Every little bit of MP helps.
You are right: Both Tiamat and Tehom design is sick as heck! I can’t stop listening to the music… it is in my head 24/7!😮

Hearing everyone cheer as Demi-Fiend joins your party almost moved me to tears. =) That was the most heartwarming moment of this montage.
Dude mind sharing that Dodge build you had for the nahobino? I'm in superboss hell myself and could definately use the help lol.
Sure! I had most of the Tsukuyomi skills equipped so the build ended up being Luminescent Mirage, Intercalation, Elusive Eclipse, Evergreen Dance, Enduring Soul, Double Pleromas, and then Paraselene Blur. I swapped Elusive Eclipse for Abyssal Mask for the Demi fight. I did play the game twice before doing these so my stats were a bit higher, 230 str/mag depending on the fight then 150 vit and around 100 agility.

that masakado fight is easier because you don't fight the True Masakado, you have to get Kiou's Sword from Canon of Vengeance route first, then you can fight the true masakado in the Canon of Creation afterwards
According to datamined damage formulas, enemy Masakado also has a hidden 4x damage multiplier, specifically coded just for him, not stated anywhere, presumably ~just to be a jerk~ because he's one of the only superbosses to fight you alone. SMT moment!
So Shiva isn't considered superboss anymore? Sadge😢

Masakado was really dang hard for me, I didn't even challenge him in his most powerful form, even though I had the option to. Currently working my way up to Demi-fiend so I can use him to challenge Satan. I hope my attempts go as well as yours :)

Shiva: I’m the hardest super boss ever Demifiend: I’m the strongest dlc super boss ever Satan: haha… amateurs
Even with this being my first SMT, I was well-aware that going after most of the superbosses would be the embodiment of suffering. Shiva, the original superboss of base V, was kind of a joke for my endgame crew. I spent many hours grinding Essences to give as many of my demons Drain Phys or Repel Phys as possible for Demi-Fiend. Even with that I only managed to beat him on Casual, I have nothing for respect for the people that are able to beat him on Hard. I gave Satan a shot, but despite doing decently well, I’m waiting to give him a proper shot until I revisit Canon of Vengeance after a few Creation runs to beef up my stats and get the remaining alignment-locked demons. I haven’t had a chance to try Masakado yet as I’m still early in my first Creation run, but while I don’t foresee him being a pushover I expect he’ll feel like a breather compared to Demi-Fiend.

Well, demi fiend still harder than satan, at least satan cannot heal 30k hp at once and insta-kill you, with demi-fiend, even if you have max vitality and take no damage, you still can loose, with satan, with max vitality, you cannot loose unless you want to
Demi fiend was made easy and friendly in later smt games. Demi fiend in Devil Digital Saga was a fiend.
I saw a mode fight in dds other day and despite having access to psycho rage it still took a ton of megidolaon to kill Demi fiend. It like you never meant to win that fight
@@gosukuma9369Tbh, that was also done with only a single party member, and only Megidolaon as an attacking skill. This would be faster with Mind Charge + Teradyne, for instance
Only one of these I haven't fought yet in Masakado and that's gonna definitely be after I do a Godborn run to get a certain demon. Spent a good hour and change on my Satan attempt because he full healed twice and I was praying he would not do so a third time when he was in the red.
@Lorekeeperhaos Yikes, yeah the healing happened to me a few times too. Always gotta focus on killing Hariti and Sarasvati when they're out!

Yeah if you did Masakado first, Demifiend and Satan would have been easier, seeing how broken Masakado + K. Sakuya toghether are, spamming those juicy Recalcitrant Execution crits xD.
Defeating demifiend in CoC NG was so annoying. I want to punch the Atlus dev who decided to lock Drain/Repel Phys behind NG+
There's *technically* 2 more Superbosses in the form of Shiva and True Lucifer... But Shiva got powercrept *HARD* in Vengeance and even with his new buffs, True Luci is only really any sort of problem on Hard. Hell of a performance though! Good luck with True Masakado- you'll need it.

@@ParakeetDSi He's not exactly "nerfed". But Vengeance gives you more options on how to handle him, and when placed next to the other Superbosses in the game (Masakado, Satan, Demi-Fiend and True Lucifer) he's much easier to handle than all of them. Hence saying he was "powercrept".
@@ParakeetDSi What Kisaru said. One of the new Nahobino skills is Moonlight Frost, a magic skill that does severe ice damage that piecrces. Any boss that summons minions you can do your Overlimit skill Susession Moonlight Frost x4 and wipe the minions and make quick work of Shiva. It also helps that Shiva and some of the minions are weak to ice

Demi fiend atleast has strategy to it, Masakado is just a slot machine with how many crits he decideds to murder you with. It's pure RNG.
I managed to beat him in my NG CoC and it was one of the most frustrating fights I ever had. It was all worth because he is a beast in this game!

It's actually super easy, just build a tank. I had mara with fierce roar and ndr across the board. Spam guard and he can't crit
@@ImaBearEtc NDR? I personally used MC as my sponge with Fierce roar and Metatron with reflect magic.
I think True Masakados is Demi fiend Turn up to 100 is sad that I only managed to beat Demi fiend with a cheese strategy, fighting legit seems to be a huge time commitment.
I was running a semi normal spoiler free magic build and it took me 55 minutes to kill him on hard. At the very least he made it so that I was able to cheese doi satan woth chaotic will and blur so that satan never had a turn, super boss killing other superboss
I beat both superbosses without cheesing them(not gonna judge anyone who did, they are big time commitments lol), Demi-fiend needs enough damage to nuke a demon every 2-3 turns, abyss/enduring on everyone to seal his mediarahan so he doesn't get any extra Wills, and optionally semi-debuffers like Mephisto who don't trigger Dekunda as often. The main key to fighting Satan without cheesing him is using combo skills(+ boon ex) to debuff rather than a dedicated debuffer so you can double up on offense or just have masakado who is so good he's basically cheating
You can fight the true masakado if you collect the kioku sword in Shinjuku region of your COV playthrough, Arahabaki will come and take that sword from you and give it to you in your next COC run.

I hate him so much. But he’s so cool. I have been stuck on Demi fiend for days now. I try different strats, different ways of levelling. I have split the game in half and pieced together jank ways to rapid levelling. And still, he pushes my shit in
Yeah he's a tough fight regardless of what you do, expect it to take at least an hour every attempt. Highly recommend Nuwa here since she can debuff and deal damage simultaneously. Throw Safeguard on her for good measure.

Well i beat two times in the original and vengeace and was mor difficult in the original to have more chances to survive you need abyssal mask enduring soul and reflect or drain phisical to your nahobino use shiva esence so he uses only the scripted chactics wills and attacks with deadly fury to the nahobino to all your demons high restore to your attackers and great mana spring to your healers and supports
@@luisfergomez2705 to be honest that’s what I have ended up doing. By blocking off turns I have managed to set up some big damage but I get to the point where I just bottleneck damage. Any tips on how to boost my demon stats up? Strength at 130 doesn’t seem to be hacking it. Also I keep missing my attacks 😭

Aw don't worry about missing them, I'll be doing this probably nightly unless my internet doesn't wanna cooperate like last night. 😔 I hope Metaphor is a complete experience right out the gate since they've been developing it for like 12 years but you know Atlus......we'll see!
