You must be a expert at engineering if you can figure out how to make something with six legs move

just make it usc size and make a turning gear in the head wich roles a heavy mettalic ball to the side of the leg that sets foot on the ground that way all the weight is on that side making it stand straight when it puts the left foot down the ball shifts to the left allowing the right one to lift

I swear no one uses this sound anymore I miss it

I doubt it´s possible, even a non-LEGO real AT-ST will struggle walking. But I wish you a luck!

I made one years ago with the original feet I added a circular motor inside with a heavy steel ball that rotates to either side at the same time it stands on one leg to the center of mass shifts towards the standing side. I only increased the foot by 1 stud on each side of the foot. Was pretty good. Moved a little janky forward and backward but I thought it looked good like the original movie how it bounced alot

Cant u make a weight inside it shift the center of mass with the steps so it doesnt need such wide legs
