How to Read and Calculate Your Net Meter
Thank you for sharing this video!! I was so confused looking for the main breaker in my panel and it not being there. Mine was outside under the meter box. 🙂
Screw these things. Give me the goddamn manual with the list of codes and their meanings. Why do I need to crawl around the internet for hours looking for the specific codes that are enabled on my specific meter?
Change my payment method
where r u legs bursted open
need to get in touch just asap
Great video!!
total kilowatts used in what time period?
How did that meter pass inspection being do high up? I thought the power company had installation requirements that the top of the meter could not be higher yhan 6 ft 6 from grade. I have had instsnces where it was higher and i was allowed to build a step or two underneath so those little meter reader girls could see the meter straight on.
What if my house is so old that i dont have a main breiker and i need to add one should i call the electric service company or an electrisian?
HOW DO YOU RESET IT AFTER OUTAGE??????????
Using around 6kwh daily, yesterday there were 2 brown outs within the matter of a minute and that jumped meter reading up around 3kwh, keeping meter reading log book
Great video. I only confused with last slide: "Removing covers can cause electrocution even when main breaker is turned off." I thought all idea to turn Off main breaker is to allow remove covers to install new breaker (for example for EV car).
Nice video. Would love to see a video about electromechanical meter failures: what to look for in terms of under-reporting AND over-reporting actual usage. There are still a lot of ABB analog meters out there, some may still be working within specs, but some might not. Curious about how faulty analogs might be quickly detected in the field.
I am having a lot of difficulty finding a 400A 1-phase 120/240 Type 3 (320A Continuous) disconnect that I could use near or at the meter when the meter is located near a pad-mounted transformer (power company 400A service)
No main breaker on my house…, cheap owners before me….
Very useful. Helped me solve the mystery of where the main breaker was at my house.
Grounding is so critical in the event of a fault or lightning. Good video.
Q. What is the voltage of the main breaker. Do they go bad causing power outages
The bozos that built my house in 2003 gave me a breaker box in the house that has no main breaker so I would only be able to do it outside to change a ten dollar breaker smh do you see my situation a lot....
What if one side of the main breaker is not working
What if it keeps flashing back to that start up “test” screen?
Uh. That's not true. Removing the breaker panel cover will not CAUSE electrocution. It simply ALLOWS an idiot to electrocute himself by touching shit he shouldn't be touching.
Would like to be a part of this in my neighborhood.
I have 100 amp inside and 100 amp breaker box outside do I need to get 200 amp to go down to 100 outside
Love u bro always .. even though I'm feeling u and my struggles and disappointments too
how can i connect to the zigbee hub in the device?
What is the exact net metering policy of Clay Electric Cooperative with respect to excess generation and credits for excess energy? Does the credit from a "good" solar month carry forward to a "bad" solar month?
That helped me with NOTHING! my electric bill is over $500. I'm honestly about to say fuck it and move me and my child to a hotel
@Daniel Castaldo no I legally am not allowed to replace the device they put there. I just wanted to understand it and why tf my bill is so high, turns out they not just bought a new building that they’re secretly charging everyone for but the price of gas has “gone up” so now the fuel charge is $189 and the cost of the electricity I actually used is $209 then all these stupid little fees and bam, just got my bill for this month yesterday, $432 went down $30 🙄
Stop using
Do you rent or own? Depending where you’re at I can help reduce you’re rates with Solar.
After the 001 I get a 002 reading. What does that number represent? How can I figure out if my solar panels are operating properly? I have 26 230watt panels.
If the dashed lines at the bottom are moving right to left, indicates you are sending power back to the grid. Power being taken from the grid will go from left to right. Hope that helps!
excellent video thank you so much

hope he gets all the utilities marked out prior to doing this. I've seen gas services/mains, run right along side poles. Looks like a great job to have.
He said that he was adding to the existing ground rod
👍

What does all mean?
it means they are controlling how much u pay according to the square footage of your home.., independent auditors should be testing the meters for accuracy,, u have to take thier word for it,., im going to get a seperate KWH meter for my home and see if they are screwing me, which I highly suspect they are/.
@@randy1izationDid you find out if the numbers from the power company were correct? I’m curious about mine as well.
they insist that they are, the only way to know for sure is to have a wattmeter installed in your main breaker panel... then compare thier reading with your reading,, heres the deal though, in texas one company Oncor has the monopoly as the power delivery entity,, they own, maintain and repair all of the power poles, lines, meters, ect, ect,,, you have to get permission from THEM, before you have anything like that installed., if u get in a pissing match with them, and they pull your meter, your screwed,, because they are the only ones that do it .,, they cover all of central texas, not sure abt how it is everywhere else... Oncor charges the power delivery fee based on your usage,,, so the more you supposedly use, the more they make.,,, supposedly 1 out of 1,000 meters are checked regularly by an "independent " company, but being the technology is proprietary, an individual cannot get full access to the devices and how they work.,, @@DroneManMurphy
furthermore, because the meters do not monitor full time, and just do a sampling several times a day, theres ALOT of room for error,,, or manipulation,, not saying they are sampling times that would increase the overall average, but why not monitor full time, and get accurate readings...
Very nice
Very positive! Thanks to all the employees and customers of our coop that make this all possible!
Its helpful ❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻😘
Where is a the main breaker in apartments that only have breaker box without main breaker?
Perfect video
dear sir i want to document for meter technician
Thank you
I live in an apartment there are 4 meters, my neighbors meter isn’t working, but they can easily turn it back on. There is no lock for turning it on and off. If there meter shows nothing, an they still have power, are they stealing electricity?
No!
Just about always seen in mobile home parks, this is the main dis-connect. the load center for a mobile home will be a 'SUB-PANEL meaning the neutral and grounds busbars are isolated, The grounds bar bolts right to the cabinet, whereas the neutral is ISOLATED BY PLASTIC BRACKETTS.
Thank you for that comment. My grounds and neutrals are tied together in both places and I have main breakers in both which uses up 4 spaces in my sub.
@@notme22 I think you have a dangerous situation and that you could get zapped and pretty badly at that. Neutral and grounds are only to join ONCE. But it is your place, so do what you want.
What rating of conductor is run from the weatherhead to the meter base for overhead service? I've been trying to find a correct answer for a while. I know it has to be sunlight resistant but can't find if it's THHN/THWN or what. Thanks
4/0
It would be nice to have videos with actual training of employees.
But doesn't show him pull the meter lol
🤪⚡
Should the branch circuit breakers be off before you turn the main breaker on?
So how do new homes get wired? Does the power company have to shut the power off at the street or pole so that the main breaker and breaker box can be installed?
exactly.
