The Rise and Fall of Idi Amin is a historical drama film that tells the story of the Ugandan dictator's rise to power and his subsequent overthrow. The film begins with Amin's military career, where he rose through the ranks to become commander of the Ugandan Army. In 1971, he staged a coup d'état and seized power from President Milton Obote.
Amin's rule was marked by violence, repression, and corruption. He is estimated to have been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, including members of the Acholi and Lango ethnic groups. He also expelled thousands of Asians from Uganda, causing widespread economic disruption.
In 1979, Amin's forces were defeated by Tanzanian troops in the Uganda-Tanzania War. He fled into exile in Libya, where he lived until his death in 2003.

Oooh my God!! What did I just watch?? Three episodes of absolute greatness. Creativity. Articulation. Artistry. Relevance. Amazing content. Epic story. Greatest pass time. I love. I love. It's pieces like these that makes me wish I was a great writer. (I write, but never this close). The ability to bring words into reality, triggering the necessary emotions and to the right point, turning a script to an absolute mirror of the society. I smiled and cried tears of joy after Kowa is announced the winner and I had to stop and remind myself that it is acting, it is scripted. I am still wondering why the engagement is not that much. Wakenya kwani tunatakanga nini shually?? I love the script, I love the timing of its release (even tho many pple didn'twatch it at the time), I love the actors (everyone fit their role), I love everything. Amazing!
