Its an interesting mix, but I wouldnt say it sounds like In Utero. The instruments are too quiet for one thing. Kurts voice sits above them a lot. Thats the thing about In Utero that always stood out to me. Kurts voice was fairly buried in those mixes, which is Albini's style. Towards the end of the song it is more buried here tho, I will say that.

Drain You already kinda sounds like In Utero "calm" songs like All Apologies and Pennyroyal Tea. You actually managed to make it sound like mix of Bleach and Nevermind. Still good work, like it tho.

So like hmmm... where is the intro bass? The bass makes the song so sludgy and groovy and now it is just gone.

The band's last studio session with Chad Channing on drums. Sub Pop actually hadt hem do a video for thi version of In Bloom back when Chad was still on drums. You'll find it on TH-cam as, "Nirvana - In Bloom (Alternate Version)." It's the first Nirvana music video I ever saw, back when I was 19. Saw it on 90's Nation on VH1 Classic (now MTV Classic). It was not only a fantastic song, but the simplicity and honesty of the video really got my attention. I was like, "So THAT'S Kurt Cobain! So THIS is Nirvana!" I've been a huge fan of the band ever since!
