Free radical halogenation of alkanes is a photochemical reaction. It is carried out in presence of UV light.
That is free radical "substitution" ...mam here is teaching free radical "addition"
This is free radical addition reaction, Br radical is added to the alkane radical.

Mam what is the electrophile and nucleophile in this reaction
In this reaction free radicals are obtained which contain unpaired valence electron. So they are highly reactive, here two free radicals combined and form the product. Nucleophiles are those which donate electron pair and electrophiles are electron deficient species which accepts electron pair.
