La Marzocco Linea Micra "INSIDE OUT" E.7 Temperature stability
We invite you to like our videos and subscribe to our channel.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Why did we choose the La Marzocco linea? La Marzocco has quickly expanded into a new price segment with the linea micra. We consider the price/performance ratio to be very attractive. It fulfills many criteria that are important for a consistently good espresso, such as temperature stability, adjustability of the temperature and a relatively good saturation time. Its size means that it also fits into small flats and with the relatively quick heat-up time for a boiler machine, you can also spontaneously prepare an espresso at home without heating it up all day.
We hope that La Marzocco's competitors, who are still stuck in the 1961 era, can enrich us with new products.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Our journey has started in may 2023.
We develop sophisticated accessories, tools and machines in the background.
With the help of our channel, we would like to share our knowledge and our products with you. We are fascinated by coffee and are looking for solutions to extract the best possible espresso on the way from the roasted bean to the final product.

    Can you provide information about a TH-cam channel that shows how to descale a La Marzocco Linea Mini/Macro? From my own experience with an ECM Technika, which is a heat exchanger espresso machine, I know that it’s a time-consuming process. I usually set aside two hours from the time I turn on my ECM until the process is fully completed. But with two boilers in an LM and limited space, I assume it must be quite challenging to carry out the descaling process, right?

    • @brew.coffee
      @brew.coffee 25 āļ§āļąāļ™āļ—āļĩāđˆāļœāđˆāļēāļ™āļĄāļē

      The heating of the brew group is very different. While 2 heating cartridges heat the metal of the brew group in the linea mini, the heating coil first heats the water before the metal of the brewing boiler is finally heated. The mass to be heated is significantly larger in the linea mini than in the linea micra. This is one of the reasons for the longer heating phase of the linea mini.

      Not to be harsh, but this is kind of a non sense question. As great coffee is more defined by the quality of the bean, how it have been roasted and the grind quality, which comes from a higher quality grinder/burr set. At this price point we have surpassed your question 2k’s a go, based on the machine. Both can equally make amazing coffee, they can also make disgusting coffee, all based on whatever the user throws at it. So by all means you could also achieve better coffee with a sub 1k machine, with a high quality grinder and some nice beans. At the price point of mentioned Bianca or the Micra, we are looking at extra features and the build quality of the machine, which is amazingly visualised by these men for the Micra.

      The choice of bean, grind size, filling quantity, distribution, vertical tamping, extraction time and brewing ratio is crucial. The Micra offers better temperature stability and precision than the E61 brew head. And that is important for a perfect shot.

      18 months here, and apart from slightly crappy customer service on the back of a broken plastic pipe. Its been good. mine had the clear plastic hose that goes into the water tank, break where the hose meets the plastic tube that goes into the tank. LM UK were hopeless and didn't respond, ended up just spending ÂĢ3 out my own pocket to get a new one. Its one of the few areas of poor design IMHO. Getting the water tank all the way out, puts far too much stress on that little hose, there had to be a better way surely!
