Hi, Ive had my wolverine pro for 2 years now , done hundreds of 8mm/super8 reels no prob until recently. 8mm film works fine no jitter, smooth. Super8 reels whether its 3inch upta 7inch have a jitter if not runs off track at times and I gotta use stabilizing software. i have adjusted screws on plate, paper trick, sprays, cleaning etc nothing is fixing this problem. Any idea?

I use USB Grabber and it works fine. After using for less than 1 month, all in a sudden, it does not capture video and just the sound. The video capture device under audio mix panel does not move at all. The green light in the USB Grabber is on. Is the problem on the USB Grabber or on OBS software?

Hi Mark, thank you for this … I have exactly the opening scenario, same camera you demonstrated. Delighted that it worked initially and then horizontal lines appeared, realised needed to clean but issue sourcing cassettes as you mentioned. Unfortunately I tried to delicately clean with a fine small brush. Barely tipped but since that the cassette compartment won’t close so I must have disturbed some part of mechanism. I literally found your video 5 mins after. So sad as It has taken me years to get these tapes to play. I hope you might be able to help, have taken photos & video of issue but don’t think I can upload through this medium . Please let me know if there is a way of sending to you. Kicking myself I missed this very instructive vídeo first 😢😢

Thank you for this helpful info! I have the same Kodak machine. After I adjust the frame and start recording the digital version, the frame 'drifts' on the recording. Is there an easy way to edit this after digitizing? Or do I need to start/stop recording and 'stitch' together later? TIA!

Hello, Thank you for this very informative video. To hold the 2 pieces of the video tape in place before gluing, I use the sticky part of a post-it note that I turn over and hold on the table. Cordially

Anyone can copy the .vob files from a DVD to a USB stick using any version of Windows. You don't need this Wolverine device to do that simple task.

i would by one of these. Left just mechanism and use digital microsope triggered from the machine to take a photo. It could be much better quality, but the downside would be merge all photos into one clip.

Outstanding Tutorial. Suggest once the tape is repaired you should ASAP transfer the data from 8mm or VHS to DVD or Digitize as MP4 at a minimum, to preserve important images and perhaps priceless memories for the future. This is particularly important since tape is now a repaired VHS or 8mm tape. Thanks for the great tutorial.

random question but I have the dejur spectator 500 dual eight editor, it hooks up and operates the same with the film but I honestly can't figure out how to turn it on as it does not have the same light switch that this unit has. Can't seem to find anything online to help was just wondering if you had any insight at all. Thanks!!

To set for Super 8, does the red of the cylinder go on the inside or the outside?

Mark, do you use your Wolverine for all of your transfers or do you use an Elmo or Tobin higher end transfer machine? The Wolverine is extremely slower than these higher end transfer machines. Do you know of any other machines that will transfer faster than the Wolverine?

12/18/24. I am trying use the Wolverine Transmedia device. I got videos on copied from VHS. But I can’t get them to play. This looked so easy. UGH. Good video on how supposed to work.

I did gave it a shot, but the tape unfortunately didnt worked well after this. Actually I only had the time to record it through the OBS, then it wrapped all and almost messed my old camera.

Después de mirar mucho, me decidí por este . Pues bien las diapositivas que han comenzado a deteriorarse ligeramente, la escanea con un tono azulado muy marcado, que no lo puedo eliminar La nitidez deja mucho que desear, borrosa toda la imagen y, además, a ligera holgura que tiene el carro de deslizamiento, se mejora un poco si se ejerce una ligera presión hacia arriba. Por último, escaneando y pasando los resultados a una tarjeta directamente, de repente se cargó unas doscientas diapositivas . La tarjeta es una "San Disk" de 32 GB. Resumiendo, es muy fácil de manejar, pero no escanea nítido, fallan los colores y anula las diapositivas escaneadas cuando quiere. Por cierto, la caja llegó con un tremendo golpe en uno de sus costados. No se si éso habrá influido en su rendimiento.

Possible options if you are not comfortable forcing gears. A: If removing the electric motor attached to the gears is easier. It will take the tension out of the mechanism. B: Use the motor. It looks like a standard DC motor. You might try powering the big solder joints with a 9v battery you have lying around. If you are comfortable with that sort of thing, and the motor is not the thing that died.

Good video. I had a tape that had been stuck for at least 10 years in a small TV/VCR combo unit. The tape was wrapped around all of the wheels--it stuck while we were watching it. I had to take the entire unit apart so I could get to the top of the tape and remove it, then wind it into the housing. Thanks

I just purchased a 90s Grundig 8mm camera that has a lot of dust on the lenses inside. It makes the picture look a bit grainy and even makes it difficult for the camera to focus properly. Is it an easy amateur task to open it up and give it a clean?

Thanks for making this. It looks okay for the price and easy to use, but it’s clear that the picture quality doesn’t compare to slightly more expensive options from companies like Plustek. Kodak really isn’t what it used to be.
