🙏❤️👍
you spent a lot of time saying the same things over and over again just different ways and all of it theoretical and clinical and only about 10 minutes worth of solutions which is all I care about right now. I know very well the wide variety of symptoms of borderline personality and how identity disturbance in a relates with chronic emptiness and meaninglessness. I already have plenty of apps and TH-cam channels and radio of the mindfulness tools and this was just nothing but a lot of clinical stuff which I do appreciate because knowledge is power and helps me understand myself and helps me to forgive myself and have compassion for myself but ultimately I need tools and this was definitely lacking in any real help including any real clinical originality. All of this is old news. Sorry for the bad review but I didn't find it helpful at all and I am looking for solutions and not just a lot of theories that I am living out and don't need to hear every possible combination of causality or correlation or whatever. Get a heart

I'm ADHD and I have close friends with BPD. I like a lot of the BPD material it helps with Executive Function and Rejection Sensitivity. I wonder if we are Traits Of? Like we could benefit from some of the DBT modules too, huh? Ppl w/BPD are f*cking geniuses sometimes, you just have to ask them the right questions. 💖😎🙏
Thanks Alex, that's the detail explanations.
I have a daughter with BPD in her 30’s it is hell living with.
I told my mother about my BPD diagnosis, I told her I was educating myself about in attempt to manage my symptoms as best I can. Her response was that she would not read the short articles of information I had sent to her- that I am merely “absorbed” in my diagnoses. As if I’m some sort of idiot with no critical thinking skills. She sees my self education as wallowing in illness rather that trying to make it better. You’re doing the right thing by learning about it. My mother and I don’t live together now (a blessing for the both of us). Her other response to my diagnoses was to tell me that she is cutting me out of her life for however long she feels like because I was upset for a few days. We’re both getting older, I’m just trying to come to terms with the fact that I can’t and won’t speak to her likely for the rest of our lives. I don’t want to beg someone who can’t take an inch for me to be in my life. I honestly hate her for her callousness and cruelty. Good luck to you and your daughter.
Lovely, thank you so very much for all you do
Thank you for creating this opportunity to stop and be mindful.
That’s my dad😀
When this black man started speaking, it felt like he was speaking FOR me… all I can say is ME TOO
Thank you, this helps me understand why i do certain things. Do u have more videos on this?
Incredible video and information.
I can’t even get DBT therapy due to it not being affordable let alone DBT plus PTSD therapy.

Ouah!! Quelles superbes célébrations! Bravo Sashbear!
I hate all these lame analogies like “fighter pilot”. It seems like false praise, or at best, inaccurate.
Disagree with you completely. I find it very accurate to my experience, in that when it comes to being in the “cockpit” of my mind, there are so many alarms and instuments and sensors going on compared to someone with normal functioning. It’s not about being cool. For obvious reasons it's inconvenient having to be complicated to a level anytime you go out somewhere, but it’s at least accurate. I might suggest you’re a bit too lost in imagery that isn’t actually intended.
Don’t agree. I don’t think he was trying to give false praise. The speaker here is really nice and sympathetic. Sorry you don’t like the analogy, I think it works.
Dr. Chapman: It's hard for people with BPD to think when they are upset. Me: Everyone on the planet has BPD.
It is hard to tell the difference in the explanations.
So grateful for the many volunteer leaders across the country and especially those who travel to train more leaders to support us in our communities. Thank you.

So beautiful to see all the different ways people practice mindfulness.
Thank you for sharing your story with us. You are an inspiration. I wish you the very best in your journey through life. Not only have you helped me understand my daughter's struggles living with BPD, you have provided me with tools to help her and myself.
Thank you for the presentation. I am surprised (maybe not) that there is little research on the impact that living with a BPD has on a loved one. I have been married to a BPD female for 30 years. About 15 years ago my wife went from being very emotional, but not mean, to being very emotionally, verbally, and sometimes physically abusive. I had to move out of our bedroom almost 2 years ago because she would wake me up at night to rage at me, and sometimes hit me. I have all four of the symptoms of CPTSD. She blames me for all of her problems and refuses to go to counselling again after walking out in a rage with two different counsellors. Interestingly she does not remember either of those events, but can remember every time I ever offended her and can recount them to the slightest detail. She is now divorcing me, which actually gives me some hope that I might live a normal life. I am currently attending a "Men's Distress Tolerance Group", via Zoom, with 6 other men who are married to, or are in a divorce situation with a BPD wife. Our therapist says that all of our stories of being abused are so similar that he cannot keep them straight. I go from feeling sorry for my wife and wishing she could get help, to wishing she would disappear so that my pain could stop. Living with a BPD is exhausting, frustrating, and painful. Any happiness is long gone. I don't recognize my wife compared to how she was the first 10-15 years together. She is cruel to me, but nice to everyone else. When I go to the forums on BPDFamily, I see similar stories. I will look for your research.
Thank you for your comments

Thank you
My son has contrivied pstd about me - his father. When younger, he bounced between my wife and I as good guy and bad guy. He has now settled on me(father) as the the permanent bad guy. His bad treatment to me goes as far back as grade school. In high school, while waiting for him to finish up at his daily sports practice, if I would be talking to a coach on another team, he would run up to me and accuse me of sabotaging him, and I can't talk to these people. So just to keep him from making a scene, after some shouting from him, I just complied. This is just one small example of the bs ( financially and bs) I put up with from him over his life. My wife and I observed some of his behaviors as early as 6 years old. Now, his abuse by him continues at 26 blaming me for all his life ills. Thank God he lives 800 miles away. Now he wants PTSD treatment paid for because my wife and I owe him. But will only talk to my wife and will not allow her to inform me what is going on (of course she fills me in). I should clarify that he has BPD.
It is quite painful to be blamed and labeled as the bad guy by your son when you were simply talking to the coach from another team as an example. From what I have learned about BPD members of the immediate family are more often blamed, and their pain projected onto others. Wishing you and your family all the best. This isn't easy!
star trek FTW!

It's a hard video to watch being 54, knowing what's wrong and still not being able to get the help I need. I tried a DBT program in the area and was retraumatized by a therapist.
I too tried DBT, and at the start, I had a great therapist (about 3 sessions), but as is common place with the NHS, the most kindest get burnt out, and he left. The replacement was more interested in her career and her issues, and that was just seeing her a couple of times! I asked for a swap, but I was told that this was a part of BPD, to reject people - PLEASE, the way she treated the receptionist said it all to me i.e. she saw herself as superior to the receptionist - not a great quality to have for a therapist i.e. being judgemental.
Thank you for posting these!
