They are obvious and look like crap. Ford should have to pay to fix every single truck they decided to build using material they knew would rust out quick.

I think they're awesome. I don't care anybody says I can grind out all the rust and paint primer the rockers and then cover them with those and it would be fine for 10 years at least I bet.

There’s alotta after market additions that you just ‘tape’ on- but this is an actual body repair issue and I’m not good with doing any repairs using ‘tape’.

I like it, everyone is complaining about the rust continuing to spread, but I can’t imagine a “Slip on” metal rocker being any better. + 2 years down the road you don’t have to worry about your slip on rocker rusting out also.

Cut weak rusty metal off with air grinder or electric or even a torch. Then clean with acetone, apply "rust mort" then apply "rust bullet" to your left over metal. Then put the covers on. It'll last for years longer and you'll protect your classic baby with 4 wheels 😅. Betsy will thank you later.❤

Just saying ... It seems like a HUGE ordeal .. so many guys a rented place?? What's in the 16 foot tall tank??? .. A highschool kid could do this in his mom's basement in a couple of weeks max. 2 years go by and you didn't sell ONE yet?? How much did you spend on rent and salaries so far... after 2 years? If I had the cash to set up, Once the CNC mill was delivered, (just a simple 3 axis), a cut off saw, and three billets of aluminum .. and I'd have saleable product ready to go in ten days, in my basement .. and most of that time would be setting up the web site. Sorry just saying what everyone is thinking. :(

I think I would take a pressure washer.Take the plugs out and blast it out for quite sometime.Then put the muratic acid Stick out with the pressure washer then let it dry big time!! And then 3 guesses, the first 2 don't count.Put the POR to it, let that dry.It will turn to Stone, no more troubles. Fricking rookie l o l

I would skip the grease , load it up with cavity wax after cutting the rust out with a panel cutter on a air chisel or cut off wheel , as far as the tape i wonder if panel adhesive they put new cars together with would work better

What all sprays did you use and what did you use to clean the plastic before painting.

So essentially the same solution as putting fender flares over rusty wheel wells. The problem is this will accelerate rusting by trapping debris and dirt where the rust is already prevalent. Please advise.

The rust in by cab comers went from 0 to 60 seemingly overnight. I just installed the textured cab corners. They look great. I did all the rust prep and followed the instructions. Easy install.

why not spray a rust converter instead of grease.tape does not like grease.

I'm buying a rear cab corner and making new rockers out of 24g. Just cut n weld em on, paint with rockguard
