BEWARE any interested individuals when applying with Cambly... After submitting my online application through the Cambly website, the following was my experience during the past 7 days. On august 24th I received this email message : "Hi ____, Thank you for your application! We're delighted to inform you that your application has made it through the first stage of the process to become a tutor, congratulations! Your account has been moved to our shortlist of high-quality tutors for priority onboarding. Please be aware, it may take anywhere from 1 day to a few weeks for your account to be activated for tutoring on Cambly. We always make sure there is sufficient student demand so, once you're activated, you can be sure to have plenty of calls and students to start your tutoring career! We will finish processing your application as soon as possible and email you again once your application is approved to begin tutoring :) Thank you so much for your patience and for your interest in working with us! All the best, _______" * I replied to that email with a pleasant message about my excitement & eagerness to start tutoring on Cambly. During the following days I dedicated 7+ hours to studying the Cambly tutor support online guides along with watching related Cambly videos through TH-cam, so that those efforts & learnings would be able to be put to use as a Cambly tutor in the upcoming days... However after 6 days and no further emails were received from the "Cambly Team", earlier today I sent this email : "Dear Cambly Team, Out of consideration for my schedule & current plans with a need to obtain an additional source of income : within the next 24 hours can an update be given about when my tutor account can be activated to begin tutoring on Cambly? I already have dedicated a 'few' hours of studying the Cambly tutor support guides along with watching related videos through TH-cam, so I hope those efforts & learnings will be able to be put to use as a Cambly tutor in the upcoming days 😊... Sincerely 🙏 ________," * A few minutes later I received this email from "Cambly Help Support" : "Hi there, Thank you for creating a Cambly Tutor Profile! We have received a lot of interest in our tutoring roles and unfortunately, after reviewing your profile, we've decided not to move forward with your application. We will keep your application on file in case it's a better fit in the future. Due to the large volume of emails we receive, we will not be able to provide personalized feedback. Thank you so much for taking the time to consider Cambly and we wish you all the best! Best Regards, The Cambly Team" * 1 hour later I replied with this email : "Dear Cambly Team, Why 1 hour ago that email was sent to me? Because 6 days ago I received that confirmation email message. Sincerely 🙏 ________," A few minutes later I received the *same* email from "Cambly Help Support" which was sent to me earlier today 🤦🏻‍♂🤦🏻‍♂...

This is literally me right now. I have a Bachelor and a Masters degrees and I’m enlisting in the airforce reserve. I’m currently pursuing a 3rd degree in nursing. My goal is to commission as a Nurse. But, If I had a dollar for how many times people ask me why I went in enlisted not Officer, I’d be rich right now lol it’s not always about the money. People just want different things in life and that’s okay. Thanks for sharing.

Apparently ... you're unable to decipher a military pay table, or you're already wealthy. I've been both ... the E side and the O side of the house ... well, you don't need two degrees to realize the O side is far better!

How far in advance should you book the priority hours? Does it matter? What if you just book them a few hours right before?

How do you like you MOS as a 42A? I am currenly a 42A on the reserves and plan on going Active Duty once my contract ends , debating if I should stick with 42A or reclass to 36B(Financial Tech) I want to get my MBA in Accounting after my contract ends.

I was enlisted with two degrees two a BA in liberal studies and an MBA. I first wanted to go to OCS. However, I quickly found out that I didn’t want to do a whole 20 year career in the military and just wanted to do one term so I stay enlisted did my time and got out. When you get out of the military and are using the VA for healthcare nobody asks if your were officer or enlisted. I am now using my GI bill for law school. I paid off my undergrad and MBA loans while in. If I can graduate from law school with only a little bit of debt going into the military was worth it. I might go back into the military in the reserves as a jag officer. However, I am not decided yet.

Today is my first day on cambly doing priority hours . I sat for one hour and I didn't get paid for the first 15 min( it didn't calculate in the balance). Does the payment for PH not calculate till payday ? Thank you

This video is very helpful. What does longevity mean and how do teachers qualify for that? Also, do you know where I would fall, I have 2 bachelors a masters degree in special education and been teaching at a charter school for 8 years.

Wow!! I know PH can be hard just sitting there but usually 30 minute calls come through. :) I had a troll who didn’t answer so I didn’t hang up lol! I got $2.55. 😂

Hello Asha. Thanks for this video; it answered a lot for me. Please may I ask you... when these people contact you on priority hour and you mention that you "teach" them, is it an actual lesson that you give them or do you simply chat with them? Do you try to find out what their weaknesses are during that chat in order to sell them on a package? Is this how it works? I am a newbie as of this week too.
