it's a check swing. He wasn't trying to hit the ball, it was just lucky that he made contact.
It was a high pitch. He said he thought it was dropping and was too late by the time he pulled back.
It’s a 12u field and I’ve played there before really easy to hit home runs I had 6 hr there in one tournament

This is my son's channel and I just wanted to say thanks for ALL the comments. The haters have helped this video to over 16k views, so keep on hating it. To try to answer all the questions, this was during 12U season and he was about 12 1/2 at the time. Yes, he was a VERY big 12yo (5'6" / 160lbs). This video was at Durbin Field in Jax, FL and the ball went into a tree over LC on a field I was told has 200' fences, so I just guessed on the distance. At the time, it was his 7th or 8th HR of the season and was the 3rd or 4th of the day for our team. Appreciate the positive comments.
