Restoring Honda CB 450 1972
Absolutely stunning! Great piece of work my guy!
Bravo, brilliant!
PROPRIO BELLA. CHE VERDE! COMPLIMENTI PER IL VIDEO E PER LA FOTO DEL PHANTOM MC DONNELL DOUGLAS. The Hondas of those years are unsurpassed motorcycles.
Thank you for not turning it into a cafe racer, brat bike, or anything other than what Honda intended. Stunning restoration BTW.
Man this video/small movie was wonderfly done. Everything about this is shows a mans appreciation of this ride.
Beautiful restoration-good to see the 450 brought back to it's former glory,I have an original Honda promotional pamphlet for the 1966 Honda CB 450 showing the bikes "modern" features like the electric starter and ,of course the Torsion bar valve springs Auckland New Zealand 2022
I’m just beginning a CB450K4! Would love to build to spec as you have. Beautiful!
I rode my 1970 CB450 from Florida to California to Iowa in summer of 2020. absolute unit of a bike. I'm almost 300lbs, and I had 80 lbs of gear with me. three oil changes, two chains, and one rear tire later... I didn't even have an electric starter until I went through Oregon on the return trip. I rolled into Cedar rapids Iowa to meet my father for the first time, on one cylinder, leaking oil from the clutch push rod boot like it was non existent, a blown head gasket and various other things. I tore down that motor last month expecting to find it had grenaded itself. nope. re-leveled the heads and found out that it didn't even need a cam chain or rollers. everything was as beautiful as if it had just come from the factory. keep in mind, I would sometimes put a dubious mix of light and heavy oil in it when I couldn't find the right stuff. thing will do 70 on the freeway with absolutely no compression on one cylinder. I will always love this bike. when Honda built these, they built them to last. I'm picking up a second one in less than 8 hours.

Labor of love. I am sure you put in much more than it’s value.
Beautiful
Perfect! Love it!
ΩΡΑΙΟΣ!!!!
Very nice restore 👍
Wow when you say restore you mean it.. Great job! I had A 72 back in 1981.
SPLENDIDE! Bravo Nikos!!!
Great job. Had a new 71 HD Sportster stolen with no theft insurance. Found a low mileage 72 CB 450 at the Harley dealer for 850 dollars. Turned out to be a great little bike. Traded up for a CB 750 later and then many other makes and models over the years. I'm thinking of doing a Classic and one that comes to mind is the 1967 CB 450.
Increíble !!! Hermosa moto, excelente trabajo de restauración, excelente video !!! Felicidades !!!!
Had that model myself. Every bit as good as yours looks when I got it. Very reliable compared to others before that. Eventually I was quite taken with it . Go real well and handle so easily. Thanks for some memories of the early 80's. It looks very nice.
That must turn so many heads cruising around on that! Very jealous!!! 😍😍😍
Thank you very much for your kind words
That's the real deal way to do it! Well done. Restored and ridden is exactly what's meant for these bikes.
One of the very best videos I have every watched on UT on any subject. The CB450 is a wonderful bike. The job you did restoring it is being applauded right now by me. Your video is one of the best videos I have ever seen on UT. Thank you for keeping her stock! And thank you for sharing with us this wonderful rebuild and the riding video! Kudos bro!
Thank you very much for your kind words. I love this motorcycle.
The Honda gods are proud of you!
Really really cool restoration, probably the best one out there
Thanks my friend.
Absolutely a great video and restoration, I remember well in 1971 I bought a cb 350 and my brother-in-law bought the cb450 a few months later. Of course Year later I bought the 750 and for some reason he thought 4carbs would be trouble and he bought the Yamaha 650. That didn't last long and He then bought a 750.
Sneakers for real. Shame on you
The Dainese ? How irrelevant.
Some of the 72 CB450's had a defect in the transmission. I had one of them. Factory paid to replace the bad parts, shifting forks and shaft(s), I think. If it has more than about 20,000 miles, it's probably okay or was fixed long ago. I used to have the serial numbers of the bad ones, long gone... If it starts getting hard to shift, talk to an old Honda guy with a real good memory.
As one restorer to another you did a great job there Nikos, I have the same bike only in red. Is that Athens your'e riding around?
Yeah I'm driving it to Athens.
@@stefanonikos Thought so, I've visited Athens twice and loved it, it's buzzing.
Excellent bike...certainly one worth restoring! Great video too BTW.
enjoyed your video, THNX!!
Wow........ That was amazing
Thanks Kato!!!
@@stefanonikos I respect the commitment, skill and craftsmanship it requires to do all that. I'm working on a 72 CB450. Not restoring, just trying to get it started and keep it running until I shut it off. Good work do more bikes!
VERY NICE. Thanks for the video!!!
best restoration ever seen
She is absolutely beautiful a piece of motorcycle history
I had that exact bike same year, my first bike, mine was black. Had about 12,000 miles when my dad sold it. It was just sitting for years in the back of the shed. He sold back around 1990 in excellent shape for 125 bucks. I wish I still had it.
Great job! Nice video, well done!!!

@@socratesparcharidis5719όντως αυτή τη πινακίδα έχω. Ξέρουμε κάποια άλλη πληροφορία του πρώτου ιδιοκτήτη για να του στείλω καμιά φώτο της μηχανήΣ του ?
Very well done. Nice bike. When I was young boy Honda CB-450 was superbike. But honda CB750 exployening my mind. I just looking and looging that motor and sound is beautiful, without mufflers offcourse. Honda CB 450 sound is also good like that music!
Ahhh, the steve mcqueen bike...well done
Good job Nikos! Very stylish video. Great tunes also. And a gorgeous 450 resto. You're a man of good taste brother.
A beautiful restoration. I ride Harleys now but when I was in college I rode a 73 cb 450. It was exactly the same color as yours. I love those chrome fenders. Thanks for sharing.
Mine was Blue, I bought it in '76
lovely restoration.lovely marque.
Thanks for that, you did a BRILLIANT job. I am SO glad that you kept it original/stock and didn't go down the Cafe Racer current trend!!
well done sir
Thx for sharing - I'm looking at at one now from 1970.
Really nice bike! The correct year, and the correct color. You have made an extraordinary fine restoring job with this bike. There is something special with the CB450 DOHC K4. Do you still own the bike, or is it sold? I would like to buy it from you...!
Thanks for the good review. so to still have the machine but not the sale . thank you very much.
Hey Greek, keep it keep it keep it peace
Hello. After several years I decided to leave it. Are you still interested in buying? Thanks.
What will be the price? It is difficult to export from Greece to Norway (outside EU) I'm afraid.
@@lpn50be1 Sorry, sold.
VERY nice.
