In my arcade I go to, most people get stuck at S2. They get an F and then give up. Even playing the beginner levels accurately (or even with couple misses) isn't easy. The hard levels can take several months to get to. The very hard levels can take couple years to master.

Once you realize it's just center outside center outside spinning around it's really easy
