Vortex Crossfire II rimfire on Ruger 10/22 Takedown
I would never wrap my fingers around a door edge like that, ever! Use the handle or "center' area of outside of door.
I enjoy living on the edge
@@riv3rbanks282 I can appreciate the sarcasm. I prefer setting a good example on how to keep fingers.
Vortex screwed me over with the Diamond back rimfire scope. It has the inner sticker saying 50-yard parallax but I measured it out to 120 yards with the laser range finder. It is a 2 x 7 x 35 which is not labeled on the scope as rimfire but the box did say it was.
Could have been just a packaging mistake. If you bought it from them directly I would call their support line. If you bought from some store, I would return it and get the right one.
Blud was on an escape route
Too much, way too much time on the vortex!
Probably so. I used that vortex one for so long it was top of mind when comparing.

Has anyone found out that the windage dial is designed so it is loose?
The cross pole need to sit on the rest of the structure. Otherwise that loop will eventually give up.. And it misses the whole design of the tent. It should also face UP on top of the structure. Only then you'll get the tent pitched up right.
Who is thinking fall guys
Be sounding like the fall guys characters fr
Lol
Didn’t know people ate bluegill
The ones about the size of your hand are what you’re going for bc you don’t wanna be cleaning too many. Fry up or bake just like anything else
@@riv3rbanks282yessir sounds good you should do a catch and cook people love those🔥🔥🔥
Just bought VX HD5 3-15-44 at Buds
Nice. You’re gonna love it
No comment's I'll fix that 😊
Thanks for the comment. I’m working on getting a few more!
hi, thanks for the quick review. Can I ask if the dimensions (29.5"x8"x0.25") mention on their website is correct ? Seems a bit small with a width of 8". Also does it allow you to make adjustment on the torso? Thanks in advance :)
I just bought one and yes it is small but the side straps hold the sides well. Also if you are hauling meat in a sack, it will hold well.
Love it! So much said about recoil with 3006 im sure its stout. Manageable ?
I’m not a very big guy and i hardly notice the recoil. It’s a sweet gun and seems like it’s just heavy enough to make recoil even more manageable
@@riv3rbanks282 Have you checked out the laminate Tikka? If so much heavier than synthetic?
Very helpful video
Glad it was helpful!
What you trying to hide the bottom magnet doesn’t hold, I saw your finger on the tab?
I wasn't trying to hide anything. The bottom magnet does seem somewhat weak at first, but after you open and close multiple times it does seem to work better.
Thank you!!! How long does the waterproofing last? And do you have a link to your 4 pack of brushes?
I couldn’t find the exact ones I bought several years ago, but these are similar. Kole Imports Multi-Purpose Round Head Scrub Brushes a.co/d/hGzPghF The water proofing lasts a good while. I typically do this before a week long hike or hunt, and then do it again after the trip and it lasts for awhile. Depends on how and where you use them. Hope that helps.
Pronounced “Lewpold”. Great scopes, have two of them. Excellent for early morning and late afternoon hunting in NC in heavy woods. You can barely see with naked eye but clearly through the scope. I wouldn’t trade them for anything. I compared them to a couple of higher end scopes, they don’t disappoint unless you want a fancy reticle.
Bought the same gun a week ago love it
It’s such a well built rifle.
Was the recoil not bad for you too?
Do you think you could/would just wear the outer shell skiing/snowboarding? Or would you always wear the inner insulating gloves under the outer shell? On a deep powder day both together would be great, but I'm wondering if I could get away with just wearing the outer shell over my bare hand on warmer days on the mountain.
I'd say you could certainly try it out, but I think you would want some type of liner to absorb any sweat that you may generate. A pair of thin gloves instead of the provided liner would likely do the trick.
@@riv3rbanks282 that's very helpful, thank you!
I never had any luck with the 30-06,,I went to 308.instead,
Both great rounds
I always thought that 270wsm would be a way to go..for you guys out in Alberta...
Best bang for the money
I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.
I can’t imagine needing a more powerful scope than this for any air gun.
how about some technical info - temp rating -sizing etc
Noted.
Got a laugh when you made fun of the 6.5 😂
Gotta make fun of it when I get a chance. I do like it for deer though.
Looks a little small... :)
That’s what she said
I'm a birder and a have heavily used digiscoping over the years. Here's a few thoughts: 1. My phone skope go pro adapater is pretty loose. I find that Its can easily fall off given a little tug or pull. 2. I'm using the go pro 11 and I can zoom in a little further and get a larger picture. 3. The viper is overpriced.
Good thoughts. I found that having a digiscope for my iPhone works much better over the GoPro. As for the viper being overpriced, what more affordable option would you choose over it?
@@riv3rbanks282 I use the 80mm diamondback and the crossfire Bino’s with the go pro adapter from phone scope. Love em. If you want to go even cheaper I used the Celestron ultima about two years and I didn’t notice an increase in image clarity when I switched to vortex. What put you off digiscoping with go pro? Was it the vignetting?
When I looked at the diamondback vs the viper, I noticed a much improved clarity in the viper. I also compared the viper to the razor and did not see much of a difference. Really the only advantage the razor had was the weight imo. The main thing that put me off digiscoping with the GoPro was how small the screen was for viewing while spotting, and also the GoPro is just another piece of gear to haul around and keep charged while searching for elk in the mountains.
Thx for the tips 😊
Not kinda go over the features… you ARE going over the features. Nice explanation.
Glad you found it helpful. It's a pretty nice little tent.
Best video out there on this tent, good job describing it. @@riv3rbanks282
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback.
Best Production Rifle! Ruger American is the Best Budget Rifle ever! Enjoy it!
I agree. I have both rifles mentioned and I enjoy shooting them for sure.
Dude…you are getting really good at making videos!!!
Oooooooh man
They are made in the Philippines now
It does the job
I have the same set-up and as long as I don't take apart the 10/22 then put it back together it stays pretty much on target. I was actually better with the iron sights because they are on the barrel as opposed to the scope which was mounted on top the receiver. No matter how tight the barrel collar was I could never get it to stay on zero. Moved the scope to a fixed 10/22 (non takedown) and the problem went away.
Be specific, what stuff, we don't know what stuff you're talking about.
What’s your question?
I sure like mine, 30 06 in a lefty.
I just picked one up a few months ago in 30-06. Great guns.
These come up as some great gloves for snowboarding. I wonder if they are overkill. How does the inner and outer work well together, and I guess you could use different inners if you wanted?
They are great gloves for snowy wet conditions. The included inner has Velcro to hold them in place better, but yes, you could pick something lighter if your hands run hot.
Wonder if this would work on your pack th-cam.com/video/0ym1a6v2mqY/w-d-xo.html Thanks for sharing
My pack doesn’t have those loops. Did you sew them on or maybe it comes on a certain year model?
@@riv3rbanks282 I read its only certain packs...wasn't sure if that included the Selway. How's is it treating you?
I love it. Perfect for a 5 day trip. My buddy recently sold me his bear tooth for a great price. I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, but it seems to hold a little more for longer trips. Big fan of MR.
not the first litefighter i've seen with a leak like that... seems they have some QC issues at their factory, another youtuber had the same problem and i initially thought it was an isolated issue, but if you look around, you can see a few people complaining about the same or similar issues, which is really not acceptable for a tent that costs $400 USD
I agree. The tent seems a little over priced for what it is. There are better options in that price range.
I’m really looking heavily at this pack. I purchased the MYSTERY RANCH treehouse 38 and it seems to hold slightly more than my backpack I utilized on my first deployment (using now) which is roughly the size of a issued tactical backpack (if you know what that is). But it’s just too small and does not give room for any additions with any webbing on the bottom or anything else. It’s my first year saddle hunting and I definitely need something better. Any suggestions?
I'm familiar with the assault pack that is part of your OCIE gear. It is very basic and much smaller than this Transfer Pack, but it does have webbing to add additional storage if needed and has no $ amount cost associated with it. I am not too familiar with the MR treehouse, but I am a big fan of their packs (I have the Selway and Beartooth). From the looks of it though, it looks like it is trying to accomplish the same goals of the FL Transfer Pack. Quiet, compartmentalized storage, and kind of the mid size option. If the Treehouse is too small, maybe check out the sawtooth or pintler from MR as well.
Shame on Firstlite! They would rather nickel and dime their customers over the worst warranty/return/exchange policy in the industry than take care of their patrons and earn our loyalty. Their service agents hang up/disconnect on you. Well this is what happens when a great company sells out to China. And I’m Chinese American! $1,620. Never again.
Sorry to hear you had a negative experience with them. I haven't had any issues with their customer support, but I also haven't interacted with them much. I do really enjoy the gear, but it is very pricey.
@@riv3rbanks282 Your reply has 1000% more empathy than Firstlie, lol! For the premium price, I do expect service to match that. Now that I know that they're just like any other regular Made In China company, I'll be taking my money to a regular Made In China company and paying those prices. Anyways, good luck with your hunting season!
How are you able to fit the scope onto low rings on a takedown? Doesn't the rear sight hit the scope when you attach the barrel?
You are exactly right. I had to take the rear sight off. Figured it out after trying to pack it up and after I put up the video.
Ooooh is this the first video with a higher res? Looks great!
Shot on iPhone 13 mini
🤣🤣🤣, hey brother, you are not a dueshebag. Thanks for the info. I just purchased one and put it on a Kimber model 8400 SuperAmercan? Ca? I don't know. Anyways, thanks for the info brother. Wasn't sure about the top turret. I am an old school guy so I am learning about this new stuff. Again, thanks brother for the help 👍
Haha thanks. Glad you found it helpful. Happy shooting
